18:19 Pando hey everyone
18:20 Pando I'm doing some experiments... and I wonder if there's a simple way to texture, say, a glut teapot the same way than for any of object (e.g. ofSphere)
18:21 Pando because on an OF object you can call the method "mapTexCoordsFromTexture", but we can't do this by calling "glutSolidTeapot(50.0);"
18:22 Pando yet some commands will affect the teapot, e.g. ofSetColor(ofColor::red) will paint a red teapot...
18:23 Pando let me know if you have an idea. I'm curious but can't seem to find an example on google

19:14 aurel hm, is there a particular reason why openframeworks is not in debian? i mean, it is around for almost 10 years and there a lot of interesting programs depend on it.

19:16 aurel i am just wondering if there was any attempt to package it or pushing it to debian in the past.
19:17 admsyn I don't know if anyone's put in the time necessary to do that
19:17 aurel at the moment i am working on an application would be only a minor dependency, but having an officially maintained package would be extremely helpful for deployment.
19:23 aurel well,... at least libcinder has the same level of support (but it's still rather new)
19:27 admsyn part of the issue is that OF has occasionally relied on specific / hacked versions of libs, and the the workflow has assumed a setup where you just grab a folder off the site and then do stuff
19:28 admsyn so it's not very self-contained like your everyday C++ library etc
19:28 admsyn which is not to say it couldn't be packaged, it's just not very straightforward
