20:39 radiodario hi is anyone around? i'm trying to run the ofxPostProcessing addon example but i'm struggling to get it to run, it's saying itg::postprocessing is an abstract class and refuses to compile

21:33 radiodario so i've got a mesh of 4000 points that i'm drawing as OF_PRIMITIVE_POINTS. is there any way to draw them as circles? do I need to use a texture for that?

21:40 admsyn yeah the programmable renderer is the way to go, it's not 100% done but it's mostly there
21:42 admsyn there's an example in devApps that shows the new syntax for starting up a window, it'll let you specify the opengl version you want to use

21:43 admsyn that's showing a bunch of stuff (like how to do multiple windows etc) but the settings struct there has settings for specifying the opengl version

22:19 admsyn I don't think the postprocessing code is that huge, you could probably take a look at the source of the filter you're using to see what gl state it's twiddling
22:20 admsyn IIRC ofxPostProcessing does some direct glWhatever stuff that may be messing with the of renderer's state tracking
22:24 radiodario it's doing it even if I don't apply any filter, so i think it's between .begin(cam) and .end()
