16:53 Apleton Hello. Is there someone to explain me how texture coordinates works with ofPlanePrimitive
16:53 Apleton ?
16:59 c60 I’m just reading the docs, but says ofTexture is just a wrapper for opengl texture

17:01 Apleton my question is about the mapTexCoords function. For me when you map a texture to (0,0)->(1,1) on a square plane you should obtain the square filled with the image, whatever the size of the image
17:02 Apleton That's not the case, and I don't understand why
17:06 c60 hmm, I think it uses screen mapping instead of 0-1 ?
17:07 c60 or pixels of your texture map.

17:13 c60 It does seem strange that it want’s actual pixel width/height but uses floats ,
17:15 Apleton I uses openGL es 2, so the parameters in mapTexCoords are definitley not in pixels. When I try , I obtain a tiny image
17:17 Apleton But its neither relative coordinate (0,0 -> 1,1) , so I don't get it
17:25 c60 Have you looked at the 3dPrimitivesExample?
17:27 c60 it seems to use mapTexCoordsFromTexture, mostly, instead of  mapTexCoords,  although when they do use mapTexCoords it’s using numbers like 0-5  so I’m guessing it’s the size of the objects as opposed to screen or 0-1.
17:29 Apleton ok, I get it , I had to call ofEnableNormalizedTexCoords. Now when I use plane.mapTexCoords(0, 0, 1, 1) , I have the expected result
17:29 Apleton which is the plane filled with the texture
17:30 c60 ah, normalized, at least there was a command for it,
17:30 c60 that seems much more standard, 0-1
17:31 Apleton yep
17:31 Apleton I tried mapTexCoordsFromTexture but ultimately, I want to cut my picture into little pieces, so it was not an option
17:31 Apleton thanks anyway c60 ;)
17:32 c60 heh, sure ;) I think you did all the work though
