08:24 Tick lejeunerenard: That doesn't look right! (And that is the extent of my helpfullness!)
08:26 Tick but considering that you've tried an example that is shipped with of, I would guess of bug, and maybe you should post it in the of forum?

14:09 radiodario hi there! what does the third argument to ofShader.setUniformTexture do?
14:09 radiodario it's an int called textureLocation
14:28 piju left #openframeworks
14:32 Tick My first thought was that it might be the memory slot, but looking at the documentation.. I don@t know

16:41 radiodario should openGLES shaders run ok on openframeworks on the destop? (i.e. if we use the appropriate ofGLESWindow?)
16:42 radiodario i'm trying to port some shaders from processing but i can't get them to run on my mac... altough the same code runs fine on processing and webgl

17:18 alex__ Hey folks, I'm new to Openframeworks. After much googling, I thought I'd ask in here. When I read in an mp4, it works perfectly fine sometimes. Other times, no errors are thrown, but the video shows as a blank gray. Same video, same code, different executions. Any idea what might cause this?
17:21 alex__ Oh, I guess I should mention I'm running on OSX 10.11.3 with openframeworks version 0.9.2

17:52 lejeunerenard alex__: a blank gray rectangle?
17:58 lejeunerenard alex__: are you loading the file async or synchronous?
18:00 alex__ yes, blank gray rectangle. I don't know if I am loading synchronously or asynchronously... I'm using the code here: https://github.com/kylemcdonald/ofxFaceTracker/blob/master/example-non-realtime/src/ofApp.cpp
18:01 alex__ I changed loadMovie to load in line 30. Both options have the same intermittent behavior. I'm also using an mp4 instead of the code's mov file.
18:09 lejeunerenard so you're loading it synchronous. so the video should always be loaded. have you tried commenting out line #58 incase the tracker is responsible for the grey rectangle?
18:14 lejeunerenard you might try calling .play() on the video after loading it too. I'm guessing that the tracker needs to manually advance the frames with .nextFrame().
18:14 * lejeunerenard hasn't done CV w/ of

18:59 alex__ I tried .play immediately after loading the video, and I also tried commenting out line 58; unfortunately, no effect.
