16:36 jimallman mtholder: you mentioned errors in this issue comment: https://github.com/OpenTreeOfLife/phylesystem-api/issues/45#issuecomment-44670588
16:37 jimallman what are you seeing?

19:16 mtholder jimallman: sorry I was not paying attn to IRC. That comment (by me) on the issue was barely coherent - I just meant that if we see new errors, we should create different issues. I went back and revised my comment on the issue.
19:17 jimallman understood, thanks!
19:17 jimallman FYI - i just merged the new OTU-mapping UI to master, getting ready to deploy to dev…
19:19 mtholder great.

20:02 jimallman mtholder: i’m checking out the terse.conf code, and thinking i’d like to add an optional _branch key here for each service. eg, api, api_branch, oti, treemachine, treemachine_branch, …  what do you think?
20:03 jimallman or does that way lie madness?
20:24 mtholder jimallman^ : I'd be OK with that, but I think that JAR does not like the whole concept of the terse.conf
20:25 jimallman ah, i missed that! it seems very DRY to me and avoids some tail-chasing. i’ll skip it for now and push dev in Ye Olde-Fashioned Way
20:26 mtholder yeah. Perhaps if we start using the api.... tree.... devapi... devtree... conventions it won't be important to have a terse config system.

23:48 kcranstn hey @jimallman - why so many branches in the opentree repo? so… many… branches...
23:56 jimallman kcranstn: ’tis true. i suppose i could/should clobber them, but they seem… historically interesting to me.
23:57 jimallman esp. in a few cases where we (or someone else) might want to roll back a change in architecture.
23:57 jimallman let me do a little research. if it’s possible to easily retrieve an old branch from a pull request, that would satisfy my itch about this.
