22:40 theorbtwo Possible title: Programming Paradigms in Perl.
22:41 theorbtwo Possible rule: if you want a library for exercises, etc, do not create one for pedological purposes.  Instead, introduce a real/useful one.
22:42 theorbtwo Very much consider showing the real implementation of a real library late in the chapter, or on a second chapter on the same general topic.
22:43 theorbtwo Also, wishlist: Introduction, by Larry Wall.  Imperitive, AKA an introduction to Perl.  Object-oriented, with Moo[se] -- mst?
22:44 theorbtwo Not just chapters on using foo-style, but foo+bar for various foo and bar -- DBIx::Class as imperitive+descriptive, and how to implement these styles as well as how to use them.
22:45 theorbtwo A chapter on parsing techniques by Larry would be pretty cool too, but might be too much distracting from Bigger Things.
22:45 theorbtwo Also, we should rope Mark into being business plan / publisher relations head -- always good to get somebody on your side of the negotiating table who has experince on the other side of it.
22:46 theorbtwo Anyway, that's it for this brain dump at the moment, back to Object::Remote + Java.
22:47 theorbtwo BTW, I really feel like this Object::Remote stuff is sort of getting back to a glue language in a world that is libraries / APIs and not so much IPC, processes, and files on disk.
