09:14 azawawi hi!
09:18 bowtie azawawi, gm, again :)
09:18 azawawi just answered your email
09:18 bowtie cool, just read it
09:19 bowtie I thought the 'again' was apt
09:24 azawawi so what's happenning?
09:24 azawawi what's new?
09:26 bowtie azawawi, I have been plodding along, updated botbot code, Plugin-Manager and or course Debugger
09:26 bowtie s/or/of/
09:27 bowtie as well as outline now displays Moose stuff, with dod kicking me along :)
09:29 bowtie worked out how to use 'context menu' with a plugin, hence an alternitive way to get to plugin prefs with out having to go through plugin manager unload prefs load
09:29 dod bowtie: you're welcome :-)
09:29 bowtie thanks dod :)
09:33 bowtie the context menu thing is padre trunk and SpellChecker, you can switch dictionaries with out re-load of plugin
09:33 azawawi dod++
09:33 azawawi bowtie++
09:34 azawawi I should have been more active in Ramadan but like i told you... Job issues :(
09:34 bowtie azawawi, If I remember, that was something, one of your plugins needed, was it snippet?
09:34 azawawi hopefully things will be better
09:34 azawawi Yeah ::Snippet
09:35 bowtie azawawi, sometimes contemplation is good for the sole :)
09:37 bowtie It would be nice if I could turn botbot off and Hyppolit, would take charge, as I really miss the trac (wiki, svn) updates posted to channel
09:40 azawawi hey i liked the svn updates :)
09:40 azawawi bring it back!
09:40 azawawi plz :)
09:41 bowtie azawawi, ok, in your honor I will fire off another e-mail to Padre-dev for Gabor to read
09:46 azawawi bowtie: Did you try Galileo?
09:47 bowtie azawawi, Galileo?
09:47 azawawi CMS written in Perl
09:47 azawawi https://metacpan.org/module/Galileo
09:47 bowtie on, do I need to go read about it?
09:47 azawawi sort of the same idea as Pedro
09:48 bowtie Pedro, your mojo javascript thing
09:49 azawawi hey :)
09:51 azawawi I am reading chapter 3 (again) of Modern Perl
09:51 azawawi and extracting useful stuff for p-p-fix
09:58 bowtie I like pp-fix
09:59 azawawi basically galileo sets up a database (SQLite) and then runs the mojo app and listens at localhost:3000
10:00 azawawi and then you have a primitive CMS that is evolving
10:00 azawawi 0.06 seems to be broken though (in installation that is)
10:00 bowtie azawawi, ok, I will install , and run as requested :)
10:00 azawawi i like the concept of using the browser...
10:01 azawawi instead of focusing on a gui toolkit
10:01 azawawi im installing it atm on a fresh perl 5.17.3
10:01 azawawi on strawberry 5.16.1, it failed
10:02 bowtie azawawi, yes, watch out for { warnings all over the place
10:03 azawawi link plz of deprecation change?
10:07 bowtie sorry, I don't have a link, you will have to wait for deprecation messages about  { in regexes
10:07 azawawi perl 5.17.x ?
10:09 azawawi now back to Test::Class
10:10 azawawi it seems to fail on win32
10:10 azawawi https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=78317
10:10 azawawi # adamk
10:13 bowtie that explains why adam droped by the other night, with a mod to one of the config tests
10:13 azawawi bowtie: the cool thing about galileo in the markdown to html change
10:14 azawawi bowtie: live preview
10:16 azawawi perl Makefile.PL && dmake && dmake test && dmake install # Build.PL fails in Test::Class
10:17 azawawi # on win32...
10:19 bowtie Galileo installs ok from cpan, but I can only get a mojo error page
10:19 azawawi galileo setup
10:19 azawawi and then galileo daemon
10:19 bowtie yes
10:20 azawawi hmmm im reading about Java and Perl unicode support
10:20 bowtie then 0:3000
10:20 azawawi JDK 6 = unicode 4
10:21 azawawi wow... Perl is so much mature... in terms of Unicode standard support
10:21 azawawi JDK 7 = unicode 5.1 (maybe)
10:21 bowtie I thought perl was 6.x
10:21 azawawi Unicode 6.1
10:22 azawawi = perl 5.16.1
10:22 bowtie thanks

10:24 bowtie azawawi, how about your Wx::Scintilla 0.3801+ thing in trunk
10:25 azawawi yeah going to update it
10:25 azawawi i need to do a documentation update though
10:25 bowtie goodie goodie goodie
10:25 bowtie a what
10:25 azawawi more documentation... about scintilla
10:25 bowtie your good at that :)
10:26 azawawi and version change
10:26 azawawi since i remember dod++ telling me about debian and version problems with Wx::Scintilla
10:26 bowtie yes, the 0.38_01 or 0.3801 issue
10:30 bowtie azawawi, thanks
11:02 azawawi interesting i have been trying
11:02 azawawi use utf8; my $unicode_var_in_arabic = 10;
11:02 azawawi RTL really messes things up
11:03 azawawi is there any Perl sugar in other languages?
11:03 azawawi i.e. translated perl functions
11:03 azawawi use ArabicPerl';  # for instance...
11:07 bowtie azawawi, is this applicable -> use feature 'unicode_strings';
11:09 azawawi no i mean write a whole Arabic perl script
11:09 bowtie O, sorry
11:09 azawawi an Arabic source filter (i.e.)
11:09 azawawi or other language
11:09 azawawi use ArabicPerl; # arabic perl script follows
11:10 bowtie so you want to write perl in Arabic,
11:10 azawawi http://perldoc.perl.org/perlfilter.html#WRITING-A-SOURCE-FILTER-IN-PERL  # lol
11:11 azawawi the problem with Arabic and english
11:11 azawawi is that they dont mix well
11:11 azawawi actually all RTL and LTR
11:12 azawawi Arabic + Hebrew
11:12 azawawi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-to-left
11:18 azawawi aha... https://metacpan.org/module/Filter::SQL
11:27 azawawi bowtie: finally https://metacpan.org/module/Lingua::Romana::Perligata :)
11:28 bowtie ok, will look
11:37 bowtie Latin
11:38 azawawi http://paste.scsys.co.uk/206199
11:38 azawawi :)
12:02 bowtie azawawi, 10
12:03 bowtie yes it works
12:04 bowtie but how do I see the code in arabic, instead of strange char
12:06 bowtie azawawi, how up to date is Padres arabic translation
12:07 azawawi strange character.. any screenshot?
12:12 azawawi blocks?
12:13 bowtie azawawi, as in your nopaste, or is that the correct representation
12:28 azawawi yup
12:28 azawawi that's the correct one
12:28 azawawi assuming you have a unicode-enabled font
12:33 azawawi hmmm Padre's assumptions about document and encoding is all wrong btw
12:34 azawawi Suppose i have a document in windows-1256 (Arabic Windows)
12:34 azawawi It doesnt understand it
12:34 azawawi and i have no way to tell it to use it
12:38 azawawi and we cannot simply use:
12:38 azawawi my $decoder = guess_encoding($data, Encode->encodings(":all"));
12:38 azawawi from Encode::Guess
12:38 azawawi since this is not recommended on each file open
13:01 bowtie good, so I am not going round the twist, :)
13:03 bowtie how do I know if font is  unicode-enabled, or do i have to switch language in ubuntu
13:15 azawawi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_script_in_Unicode
13:16 azawawi Arabic alphabetic (on the right) should work
13:17 azawawi what's interesting is that Perl::Tidy and Arabic do not mix well...
13:17 bowtie ok, going to read
13:25 bowtie azawawi, yes, exactly, just as when I switch Padre to arabic
