03:29 wizonesolutions I'm on Mac OS X: anyone successfully using Vi emulation with the binary?
03:30 wizonesolutions I'm not sure where the plugins go in the app package
03:30 wizonesolutions And I'm not having much luck building from source :( one thing after another

11:05 bowtie for plugin info see -> http://padre.perlide.org/trac/wiki/Plugins
11:13 wizonesolutions garu: Ah, I just saw this. I built a Perl with perlbrew like in the wxWidgets wiki, so 5.16.3 with threading and some other switches passed. bowtie thanks...looks like the Vi plugin is broken anyway :/ so I'll probably just stick to MacVim for now.
11:13 bowtie wizonesolutions, hi
11:14 bowtie wizonesolutions, had you thought about updating the Vi plugin
11:14 wizonesolutions bowtie: how do you mean? I meant the wiki said it's broken.
11:15 wizonesolutions What led me to try building Padre was uncertainty about how to install plugins on the Mac binary :)
11:15 bowtie well you you could take a look at it
11:16 wizonesolutions hmm, maybe the binary is bundled with a cpanm
11:16 * wizonesolutions looks again
11:17 bowtie do you mean http://search.cpan.org/dist/Padre-Plugin-Vi/ from wiki page
11:17 wizonesolutions bowtie: yeah
11:34 bowtie wizonesolutions, had you thought about http://wiki.cpantesters.org/
11:36 wizonesolutions bowtie: in what way? I am relatively new to Perl
11:46 bowtie cool, so look at assisting by providing test results from an OSX perspective

16:12 garu wizonesolutions: I believe bowtie means that, if you are able to provide us with the failing test report, we might be able to fix it for you :)
16:12 garu wizonesolutions: do you know how to set up cpan testers?
16:13 wizonesolutions garu: Is it possible to run tests without being able ot build successfully?
16:13 wizonesolutions to*
16:13 garu sure
16:13 garu just a sec
16:19 rindolf Hi all.
16:19 garu wizonesolutions: you're using perlbrew right?
16:19 garu hi, rindolf
16:23 wizonesolutions garu: Yep
16:24 wizonesolutions bbs
16:24 garu wizonesolutions: could you please follow the steps in http://wiki.cpantesters.org/wiki/QuickStart and let us know if you bump into anything?
16:25 garu wizonesolutions: after setting it up, just try and install the module via 'cpan' and, once it fails, it will ask if you want to send the report
16:26 garu wizonesolutions: alternatively, you can also go to http://paste.scsys.co.uk and paste the build.log file that was generated when you tried to install it with 'cpanm', then let us know the link so we can look at it and see where it blew up
16:28 wizonesolutions garu: try to install the module via cpan, not cpanm? to confirm
16:28 wizonesolutions I'll try this in a little while
16:35 garu wizonesolutions: yeah, CPAN::Reporter integrates with cpan, not cpanm
16:35 garu but if you're just pasting the output to us then cpanm is just fine
16:36 bowtie garu, ;)
16:38 garu wizonesolutions: I have to go now, but I'm pretty confident the other folks here will be able to help as much as myself, if not more. Good luck!
16:39 garu (I'll check back in 10h or so)
16:39 bowtie garu, night night
16:39 garu bowtie night! :)
