04:23 adam Hmmm. For Padre plugin hooks, are there really only three? Is there no way to do after_save?
04:23 adam oh wow, that's what I get for having always on top terminals at the bottom fo the page
04:24 adam never mind.

19:05 sixbb help
19:09 garry hmm?
19:09 garry help
19:10 garry explain: __END__
19:10 botbot INFO: You need to type in a perl5 expression and hope that Code::Explain v0.02 understands it.
19:10 El_Che die;
19:10 garry lol
19:10 garry somehow I doubt it
19:10 El_Che :)
19:11 El_Che bowtie_: pretty impressive
19:11 garry uptime?
19:11 botbot 20:11:31 up 85 days,  6:02,  2 users,  load average: 0.01, 0.01, 0.00
19:11 garry Been a while.
19:20 bowtie_ El_Che: hi, Code::Explain is gabors
19:22 bowtie_ El_Che: I think trunk is ready to go to cpan now, any thoughts on what its version should be, I was thinking 0.982 as it is just perl 5.18 safe :)
19:23 bowtie_ garry: sixbb: hi any Q's
19:23 garry Yes.
19:23 garry I posted a bit ago about the copy and paste thing; I know it's been around a while
19:23 bowtie_ garry: go on then
19:23 garry basically ,the clipboard gets cleared when you select something
19:23 garry I've checked a bunch of threads but no one came up with a solution
19:23 bowtie_ garry: the two clip boards getting confused
19:23 garry anyway to fix?
19:24 garry I kludged it, but it's really ugly
19:24 bowtie_ garry: you have one
19:24 garry yeah; but it's very slipshod, I was wondering if this has been investigated at all in depth
19:25 garry because I love the concept of padre, but that was honestly almost game breaking for me when I first booted it up
19:25 garry i'd love to try and fix the whole thing, properly; just wondering if you have any pointers about where to start
19:27 bowtie_ garry: ok, can you create a patch using Padre Edit->Patch ... against Padre 0.99 the dev version please then we can take a look at it
19:28 bowtie_ garry: start here http://padre.perlide.org/trac/wiki/Development
19:28 garry bowtie_: oh, no, I'm not asking about how to submit the patch, I'm wondering if anyone's traced this down to a more specific area
19:28 garry this specific bug
19:29 garry bowtie_: because as I said, I've looked around, and there's been numerous reports but no resolution
19:30 bowtie_ garry: I have had a look, but a new pair of eyes is always good, you my have found the answer based upon your past experience
19:32 bowtie_ gary: can you paste your kludged please, use http://paste.scsys.co.uk/padre
19:32 sixbb interesting.  Code that doesn't work in the debugger does work when I just click "Run Script"
19:33 garry bowtie_: don't have access to the patch atm, but I'll paste it later tonight
19:33 bowtie_ sixbb: if you want me to look at code, just http://paste.scsys.co.uk/padre
19:33 bowtie_ garry: cool
19:33 garry bowtie_: thanks for the help, though. do appreciate it
19:34 shadowpaste Someone at 217.168.150.38 pasted "use strict; use warnings; use" (22 lines) at http://paste.scsys.co.uk/265743
19:34 bowtie_ garry: you can also post to http://padre.perlide.org/trac/wiki#Mailinglists
19:39 sixbb I ahve activestate perl also installed, is that the probelm?
19:41 bowtie_ sixbb: let me take a look, wait
19:41 sixbb k
19:53 bowtie_ sixbb: take a look at: https://metacpan.org/module/Regexp::Debugger
19:53 bowtie_ sixbb: you can then run -> rxrx script.pl and see what your regex is up to
19:54 sixbb okay, but I get that same error message with code that just says "print "hello\n";"
19:55 bowtie_ sixbb: I am not able to run your script, it is either my old machine or the use of WWW::Mechanize in a padre task, I will take another look on a different machine, soon
19:56 sixbb k thanks
19:56 bowtie_ sixbb: I don't get any error at all
19:57 sixbb hmm...
19:57 bowtie_ sixbb: you need to be able to run your script, in Padre before you attempt to debug it, so it must be a saved file
19:58 sixbb well I have to head out.  later.
19:58 sixbb thanks for taking a look
19:58 bowtie_ sixbb: ok
20:01 sixbb I can run it.  It runs fine.  I only get the error message in the decoder.
20:01 sixbb debugger
20:05 bowtie_ sixbb: what Padre version and perl version are you using
