17:19 vicash hi, does anyone have a clue how to use CSS with markdown documents ? I would like to take a bunch of markdown documents and apply some CSS to them without having to rewrite them in something like Template toolkit
17:25 sivoais vicash: it should be just regular CSS, right? You won't get anything fine grained unless you add the id, class yourself
17:25 sivoais e.g., <http://jasonm23.github.io/markdown-css-themes/>
17:26 sivoais you'd probably have to stick a stylesheet link in the generated HTML yourself
17:26 vicash sivoais: for now yes. just a css sheet tagged along that will make the document generated look a certain way. of course adding custom highlighting to certain areas needs the id/class attributes
17:27 vicash sivoais: probably you're right. that is my last option to add a css link after the <html> tag as part of the post processing. not hard but i was hoping to avoid
17:30 sivoais nice, the test-suite for Text::Markdown incorporates tests from other Markdown generators <https://metacpan.org/source/BOBTFISH/Text-Markdown-1.000031/t> (phpmarkdown, pythonmarkdown)
17:33 vicash looks good. downloading it to see if it can do what i want out of the box
17:34 vicash damn. i should just add the css as the first line since i never noticed that the <html> tags weren't even there. multiple markdown files can be merged into one as well.
