22:00 mohawk is there anywhere an explanation of what and2 does?
22:11 sivoais $ pdldoc and2 # mohawk, does that work?
22:11 sivoais "binary *and* of two piddles"
22:12 mohawk i did perldoc and read the doc
22:12 mohawk it just didn't help
22:12 mohawk i do get it now
22:12 mohawk it's the standard pdl thing of do the numerical op on all the piddle's members, right?
22:12 mohawk i was trying to figure what $pdl2 = $pdl&0; would do
22:13 mohawk effectively it's make a zero-d pdl with same dims as orig?
22:14 sivoais yeah, the 0 gets applied to each element
22:16 sivoais but for that specific code, $pdl->zeroes would be more explicit
22:17 mohawk i agree
22:17 mohawk the code i'm working on is GP's examples/iland
22:17 mohawk among the wonderful things it does is call merge_shadow then update, then same again
22:18 mohawk and currently the merge_shadow is returning a fail, and i don't know why
22:18 mohawk also, it's currently getting a piddle for each row of  the image
22:18 mohawk i rather expect it'll be possible to just do one PDL operation on the whole thing
22:19 mohawk if you have a second, could you comment?
22:20 sivoais in #gimp-perl?
22:20 mohawk if you like
22:20 sivoais ok, see you there ;-)
22:20 mohawk cool
