02:33 gtodd if I have buillt perl6-j and perl6-m ... (perl6 on parrot wouldn't build) ...  how do I pull any updates to the parrot subrepo and then build only the parrot version of perl6 ?  is " perl Configure.pl --gen-parrot --prefix $HOME/perl6 " good enough?

15:26 chm cbmuser: Taking a look at where we are with the PDL-2.x 64bit index support fix.
15:28 chm As Henning mentioned, the code is pretty tricky to fix due to "hidden assumptions" about type sizes.
15:29 chm I've gotten most things in but need to set up a full debug environment in order
15:29 chm to find and fix the remaining problems (usual pointer/memory/alignment stuff).
15:31 chm One reason for the difficulty is that on the little endian systems I have to work with
15:32 chm the problem only appears for data sizes larger than 2**32 elements which leads to slow
15:32 chm allocation and even simple operation either taking a long time (swap!) or blowing
15:32 chm out the system memory (sigh).
