16:01 bulk88 how common are NVs/floating point values vs integer values in typical PDL code/APIs?
18:18 chm joined #pdl
18:20 chm bulk88: I would say that the majority of calculations use float types and double is the default for PDL.
18:21 chm That said, there are many uses for non-float types related to data manipulation, IO, and compact representations.
18:23 chm For example, a byte piddle could be associated with a byte data stream.
18:23 chm For PDL3 the plan is to extend data type support to PDLs with pretty much all the standard C99 types
18:24 chm and to add support for objects/structures either inline or via pointer/reference.
