22:34 perturbation hi all - checking out PDL and I can't seem to get the 'imag' function to do contrast properly
22:34 perturbation anyone run into the same issue? PDL v1.357 using the PGPLOT backend
22:37 perturbation hmmm - actually, I can get it to work if I directly load PDL::Graphics::PGPLOT
22:37 perturbation but not if I load PDL::Graphics::Simple
22:37 pdurbin good workaround, at least

22:47 spintronic hi guys, how do you normally import CSV data if it contains non-numeric data mixed in?
22:56 sivoais spintronic: rcols can be passed which colummns to read as PDLs and which to read as Perl arrays
22:56 sivoais I'm working on a data frame implementation that should make that easier...not done yet
22:56 sivoais you could also build it by hand using Text::CSV
23:02 spintronic ok, what if I want to read 3000 columns, is there is away to specify that as a slice in rcols?
23:06 sivoais sorry, I can't help right now :-/ But you can specify which columns to read
23:08 spintronic ok I'll work on making my own reader
23:13 spintronic quit
23:13 spintronic exit
