15:48 gtodd I liked that crimsonfu rant by ironcamel :-)
15:50 gtodd ironcamel should get a grant to hang out on IRC and provide "correction" ;-)

22:14 gtodd actually I read it in anticipation of the part where the person always says Perl's OO is "bolted on" and it was there :)
22:14 gtodd it's always there ...
22:19 gtodd arg "bolted on" is sort of meaningless when it's a module "-M" (o)bject (o)riented (s)yntax (e)nhancements  and well modules are sort of core to the language ... isn't the idea that perl was designed for bolting things on ?
22:20 gtodd if only I was computer scientist and a good rhetorician ..
22:20 mohawk it's wrong because perl5 is designed around modules
22:20 vicash that's like those folks who say that you cannot do OO using C.
22:20 mohawk and modules are how perl does OO
22:28 sivoais Other languages like Go and Erlang don't even have OO in the sense most people mean
22:31 vicash but they're hip and trendy
22:37 gtodd anyway ironcamel++  :-)  besides how can a module be "bolted on" to a errm modular language ... heheh
22:39 gtodd left #pdl
23:01 pdurbin god bless ironcamel and #crimsonfu
