00:33 mohawk vicash++ # PDL3 = second-system
00:34 mohawk except i think PDL3 won't be as quick to market or as lean as perl6
03:58 vicash sivoais, mohawk: the VIC presentation I gave in NY.pm is here: http://selectiveintellect.github.io/vic/presentations/index.html and a separate slideshow on writing a compiler in Perl using Pegex and Moo is here: http://selectiveintellect.github.io/vic/presentations/development.html
04:02 sivoais vicash: "reduce the need for reading data sheets all the time" YES. THIS.
04:03 vicash sorry the demo videos are not there i did a live demo.
04:03 vicash sivoais: in trying to avoid reading 1 data sheet i now have to read all
04:03 sivoais hahahahaha
04:05 sivoais it's one of the catch-22's of programming...you program to avoid doing things again and again...so you start and now you're an expert at doing that one thing...
04:05 vicash yea the irony...
04:06 sivoais could this work for Atmel AVRs?
04:06 vicash in theory yes
04:07 vicash but it would probably just be easier to use ARduino libs to do the job at this stage. i dont think i have the bandwidth to support ATMEL and i dont think there is a gpsim like utility that does full chip simulation
04:07 vicash i could however have VIC generate Arduino code as a shortcut
04:08 sivoais ah, ok, I was specifically thinking of Arduino :-P sounds good. The less code to write, the better
04:09 sivoais did you post this to hardware.pm yet?
04:10 vicash No. i should login and post. you should join #vic on freenode to track progress.. i am going to be working on some real world applications with this so that it is useful
04:13 vicash well i dont have a hackaday login
04:15 sivoais I think you just have to e-mail it in <http://hackaday.com/contact-hack-a-day/>
04:17 vicash ok will try it out tomorrow
