19:44 sivoais I wasn't doing much PDL stuff this weekend because I was making this
19:44 sivoais <http://nbviewer.ipython.org/github/zmughal/zmughal-iperl-notebooks/blob/master/IPerl-demos/20150209_IPerl_display_demo.ipynb>

22:57 sivoais jberger: you might have answer for this... is there a JS POD renderer?
23:03 jberger not that I'm immediately familiar with
23:03 sivoais yeah, I'm looking around and it's hard to search for
23:03 sivoais time to write a parser in JS... eeeerrrmm...
23:05 vicash sivoais: i think ingy wrote Swim which can render pod. Swim is in Pegex and Pegex is also available in JS.. so maybe you can render POD in JS.. you may have to ping him for it.
23:06 sivoais I've used Pegex before. If it's in JS, then that's great. I might have to write a Pegex grammar for POD then!
23:11 jberger you could also just have a little web-service that could do it
23:19 sivoais jberger: yeah, that would be easy way, but I'm doing this for ipython notebooks
23:20 sivoais and the main way to do things like this with that is JavaScript
23:40 ingy sivoais: all my modules that have been released in the last year have their Pod converted to Swim
23:40 ingy which generates perfect Pod for CPAN
23:40 ingy markdown isn't as expressive as Pod
23:40 ingy so couldn't use it
23:41 ingy Swim has all the good syntax of markdown
23:41 sivoais yeah, I saw it while I was patching Devel::PerlLog
23:41 ingy things like ## are ==. Silly Markdown, # is for comments.
23:42 ingy Swim you can actually comment stuff out like that
23:42 sivoais commenting out things is something I really miss in Markdown. Both POD and LaTeX do it
23:45 pdurbin ingy: ah, I take it you invented Swim: http://search.cpan.org/~ingy/Swim-0.1.38/lib/Swim.pod :)
