02:58 sivoais fast turnaround there :-)
03:00 mohawk sivoais, please name a showstopper :-)
03:01 sivoais hehe, let me download the bugs using the SF API
03:01 sivoais because I'll need to do that anyway
03:02 mohawk good man
04:08 sivoais more IPerl stuff .... <https://github.com/doy/reply/issues/43> "accessing lexical variables from inside a named sub"
04:09 sivoais I'm just going all over the place with IPerl now. First Markdown::Pod, then MetaCPAN, now Reply... :-D
04:10 sivoais Soon I'll be patching pygments
04:33 mohawk traitor
04:40 * jberger holds back an involuntary reflex
05:00 sivoais hehe, I can go back and forth between languages if I want! :-P But Perl always has an edge because I can steal the best ideas
05:01 sivoais and when I do, I can do it with fewer lines of code AND more re-usability because of Moo[se]!
05:02 sivoais sometimes I delve into Java or Python code for doing NLP+machine learning and I find lots of things that amaze me. Entire classes written to do a one-liner of Perl.
05:03 mohawk ha ha!
05:05 sivoais Or in other cases, code that implements its own version of File::Find. Probably because they've never use the full power of closures
05:23 mohawk that's another slab of patches MRed
05:23 mohawk https://sourceforge.net/p/pdl/code/merge-requests/19/
16:19 mohawk oh dear, sourceforge is rejecting pushes at the moment
16:19 mohawk thanks, sourceforge
16:21 mohawk http://sourceforge.net/error-404.html
16:21 mohawk it's broken
17:31 jberger FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
17:33 sivoais still down!!! ?
17:35 jberger I have no idea, that's just fun to write
17:38 sivoais it looks like SF ops have only enabled the file download portion of SF. You can't get to any other part
22:59 mohawk jberger++
23:01 mohawk SF is finally back
23:01 mohawk dammit
23:07 sivoais I'll have to do the work when I get home in a few hours
23:08 mohawk new version of MR: https://sourceforge.net/p/pdl/code/merge-requests/20/
23:08 sivoais because it looks like the tools out there (there is only one) isn't going to work for me
23:09 sivoais this one <https://github.com/ttencate/sf2github>
23:09 sivoais ^ that requires having an export file from SF
23:10 sivoais and it looks like if I write a good one, then I can go around and do the migration for other projects :-D
23:11 mohawk sivoais++ # well volunteered
23:11 mohawk BUT
23:11 mohawk first let's do 2.008
23:11 mohawk so please do your triaging thing :-)
23:12 sivoais yeah
23:12 sivoais it's just easier to do that on GitHub when you can use a kanban board
23:12 mohawk ok
23:12 mohawk would you prefer to delay by a week while you make it be on github?
23:13 mohawk or just pick out some issues to get others working concurrently?
23:13 sivoais this is true
23:13 mohawk young people, so keen
23:13 sivoais working concurrently would be good
23:13 sivoais :-D
23:13 mohawk hmm
23:14 mohawk so maybe it would be a good idea to pick out which issues are show-stoppers now?
23:16 sivoais mohawk: of the ones that are open: <http://sourceforge.net/p/pdl/bugs/346/>, <http://sourceforge.net/p/pdl/bugs/370/>
23:16 sivoais the others require more investigation that can only be done by a better test suite
23:17 sivoais the ones above have to do with the build and if you can't build, you can't test
