15:37 mohawk new dev-release of PDL-Stats, as you can probably see above
15:37 mohawk if cpantesters smiles on it, i'll full-release in a day or two
15:40 mohawk is there a reason we've never merged https://github.com/PDLPorters/pdl/pull/122 ? i know it's too late for 2.016
15:53 travis-ci PDLPorters/PDL-Stats#37 (master - 011dc76 : Ed J): The build passed.

16:49 chm mohawk: re pull 122, I think it just dropped off of the radar
16:50 chm mohawk: it looks good to me and applies cleanly but since is can affect non-core PDL modules, too much to verify before PDL-2.016
16:50 mohawk chm, hi
16:50 mohawk like i said, not suitable for 2.016
16:51 mohawk but i'd like to merge it as soon as 2.016 dust is settled
16:51 chm Yes, sorry I didn't notice it earlier in the month.  Lets merge as soon as 2.016 is out.
16:52 chm Then we can make sure no dependent non-core modules break and we can push out a quick 2.017.
16:52 chm I have no problem with frequent releases if we can avoid regressions.
16:53 mohawk that's the dream
16:54 mohawk and learning from regressions to keep beefing up tests is always a win
16:54 chm mohawk: I have to say I still enjoy and appreciate the Travis-CI and Appveyor work you and sivoais have built.
16:54 chm Makes safer releases possible all around.
16:55 mohawk grin
16:55 mohawk we're not done till the iceberg is split
16:56 mohawk because that leaves less interdependencies
16:56 chm Definitely lowking towards that.
16:57 chm I'm also working to push a bugfix release for POGL and to start work on factoring out the TriD code.
16:57 chm I have need of some modern OpenGL stuff so finally am going to push something out the door.
16:57 chm Will keep you posted.
17:00 mohawk good luck, amigo
17:06 chm you as well, ciao.

18:41 chm mohawk: Trying to clean up pdl for Debian packaging.  Found an old bug report for Gimp perl: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pdl/+bug/90274
18:41 chm mohawk: Could you see if this is a problem any more?
18:42 mohawk chm, will take a look
18:44 mohawk (computer grinding a bit a moment though :-) )
18:51 mohawk chm, the versions in question are so different from latest i can't give a meaningful answer
18:52 mohawk i can tell you gimp-perl now has tests that literally run all the supplied plugins and check they work
18:52 mohawk so it seems fairly unlikely there will still be problems
18:52 mohawk naturally, if any arise, i will deal :-)
18:52 chm mohawk: ok, I thought as much.  Just didn't want any blowback to gimp perl when/if debian pdl is updated...
18:52 mohawk that is profoundly unlikely :-)
18:53 mohawk if you can encourage them to make a debian gimp-perl too, that would be greta
18:53 mohawk (great)
18:54 chm If I can connect with the debian science maintainers, I'll definitely see out updating things for all-PDL-dom.  :-)
18:54 mohawk ha ha, great
