21:41 bulk88 willthechill I've taken a swing at rperl on appveyor, not going so well right now but I kindda know what is wrong with the appveyor box   https://ci.appveyor.com/project/bulk88/rperl/build/1.0.8
21:42 willthechill awesome!

21:42 willthechill do I need to do anything right this moment?

21:52 bulk88 appveyor VM is a x64 Server 2012 box, but it only includes ActivePerl 5.22 x86 in the OS image, no strawberry of any kind, no x64 perls of any kind, ActivePerl >= 5.18 uses GCC, so rperl would work in theory on ActivePerl, but the GCC and maketool used to compile ActivePerl aren't in the Appveyor image, so I have to convince ActivePerl to use a different GCC (easy, no ABI problems apparantly
21:52 bulk88 like with GCC 4.6 and 4.8) and a different make took (very hard)
21:53 bulk88 I'd rather not mess around with installing strawberry perl or any additional software on the appveyor image, that takes many minutes to do per CI build
21:53 bulk88 it could be done, I just think it is a bad idea due to CI time
22:12 rurban1 well, but it's better to freshly install strawberry to ensure g++ consistency

22:43 willthechill bulk88: rurban may have a point about needing Strawberry for g++ consistency, but let's try your ActivePerl idea first

23:31 bulk88 https://ci.appveyor.com/project/bulk88/rperl willthehill cpanm cant be made verbose, i need to see the build log
23:32 bulk88 is there any way to made cpanm verbose, the -v switch doesn't do anythiong on appveyor or locally for me
23:33 bulk88 the build.log quote in the console is nothing more than what is in the console on my system and on appveyor
23:33 bulk88 *quoted/mentioned
