19:58 willthechill mako: I saw your messages on the log regarding the Windows freezes
19:58 willthechill how it hangs on throws_ok()
19:58 willthechill so I guess we need to find out why throws_ok() is broken in Windows?
20:01 mako Seems so. All other test in '04_type_scalar.t' are working properly.
20:02 willthechill so who is responsible for throws_ok()?
20:02 mako What do you mean by who?
20:03 willthechill who is the maintainer of throws_ok()?
20:03 willthechill who created it?
20:03 willthechill who owns it on CPAN?
20:06 mako http://search.cpan.org/~exodist/ looks like this guy.
20:06 willthechill oh chad granum
20:06 willthechill he's very nice
20:07 willthechill about to be away from computer, we can contact exodist later tonight
20:07 mako you know him?
20:07 willthechill meanwhile, please put together a pastebin with all the pertinent logs which show throws_ok() freezing in Windows
20:07 willthechill yes I know him personally
20:08 willthechill we will need to send him the pastebin so he can see exactly what is going wrong
20:30 mako Have a look: https://github.com/93r/rperl/blob/test/t/04_type_scalar.t.log
20:34 mako test 117 (TIV01) hang in CPPOPS_PERLTYPES mode
20:49 willthechill joined #perl11
21:29 mako You may wish to try this, too: https://github.com/93r/rperl/blob/test/t/04_type_scalar_rperl93r.t
21:30 mako With 'Test::Fatal' the issue is the same as with 'Test::Exception'. Still hanging on Windows.
21:32 mako 'Test::Fatal' maintained by http://search.cpan.org/~rjbs/
21:35 mako So 'Test::Exception::throws_ok()' is not the real culprit.
21:52 willthechill mako: wow good info!
21:52 willthechill so we will not contact anyone yet until we know the real culprit
21:58 mako Would be best.
21:59 mako But where to look?
21:59 willthechill bulk88: we need your help
22:03 mako Oh, dammit it's that late. In 5 hours I have to go to work. I need some sleep. Sorry, I totally forgot that when writing the test with 'Test::Fatal'.
22:03 willthechill mako: okay goodnight my friend!
22:03 willthechill great work!
22:04 mako Thanks, see you tomorrow. Bye.
