07:22 sergot morning! o/
07:42 sergot FROGGS[mobile]: could you give me your "Modules versioning in Perl 6" takl?
07:42 FROGGS[mobile] the slides?
07:42 sergot Yes.
07:48 FROGGS_ http://froggs.de/perl6/v321.odf
07:49 FROGGS_ http://froggs.de/perl6/v321.pdf
07:49 FROGGS_ err, the first one is not .odf but .odp
07:49 FROGGS_ so, this http://froggs.de/perl6/v321.pdf and http://froggs.de/perl6/v321.odp
08:06 sergot FROGGS[mobile]: thanks!

08:28 sergot FROGGS: can I add HTTP::Cookies to modules.perl6.org?
08:30 * moritz accts as FROGGS and nods violently
08:30 sergot Actually , that was question to everyone :)
08:30 sergot thanks moritz
08:31 moritz in fact, you don't need permission to do that
08:31 moritz you do have permissions for the ecosystem repo ,right?
08:31 sergot I have but I want to add there only well-written modules. :)

08:42 FROGGS sergot: to add stuff to modules.perl6.org it does not matter if the code is well formatted, every useful module will help others
08:42 FROGGS even when the modules will change and others need to adopt their code
08:44 sergot ok :)
08:44 sergot so, I can add LWP::userAgent too in this case ;)
08:48 * moritz hates that name
08:48 moritz but I guess familiarity with p5 makes it worth keeping
08:51 FROGGS moritz: we can provide it under another name, and just alias it to LWP::UserAgent
08:52 FROGGS that works at least theoretically
08:52 FROGGS sergot: you can release everything that works
08:52 FROGGS make sure you specify the dependencies correctly
08:53 moritz WWW::Client, HTTP::UserAgent, ...
08:57 dalek joined #perl6-lwp-gsoc
08:57 FROGGS yeah, both are equally good, and better than LWP::... :o)
09:07 sergot If we want to change the name, we should do this now (or soon-ish) I think. :)
09:11 moritz sergot: IMHO that's your choice, 'cause you'll type the changed name most often
09:11 moritz (during development)
09:34 FROGGS sergot: but yes, better now than later
09:43 sergot HTTP::UserAgent?
09:43 sergot :)
09:44 moritz +1
09:44 sergot FROGGS: ? :)
09:44 sergot what do you think?
09:44 FROGGS +1
09:44 FROGGS then (almost) everything is in HTTP::*
09:44 FROGGS which makes a nice dist
09:46 moritz sergot: on the tpf-gsoc mailing list is a thread with links to student's blogs
09:46 moritz sergot: please reply with the URL to your blog
09:47 FROGGS moritz: I already did
09:48 FROGGS but now I am not even sure it arrived :/
09:48 * moritz hasn't got the mail
09:48 FROGGS hmpf
09:51 sergot FROGGS: I can send an email
09:51 sergot moritz++, thanks
09:52 FROGGS yeah, it looks like they do not like my mail address anymore
09:52 * sergot is sending an email to tpf-gsoc
09:54 sergot done

11:36 sergot FROGGS: moritz: What do you think?
11:36 sergot based on: http://techblog.willshouse.com/2012/01/03/most-common-user-agents/
11:38 moritz funny how they call claim to be Mozilla 5.0
11:38 moritz *all
11:38 moritz I'd personally sort the list, otherwise fine
11:39 sergot Sort alphanumerically?
11:39 sergot It's sorted by OSs
11:39 moritz they keys, in the OS
11:39 moritz s/OS/source/
11:39 * moritz confused
11:40 moritz ah, also valid
11:41 sergot Is it better to sort it like in the source?
11:41 moritz there's no better or worse, just how I'd do it, and how you have done it :-)
11:42 sergot hehe, ok :)
11:42 moritz my approach is asking the questions "which UAs do I know about?", and that's easier to answer if it's sorted by key
11:42 moritz but technically there's no difference at all
11:42 moritz rephrased, I'm complaining on a very high level :-)
11:51 sergot ok ;)
11:52 sergot We'll see.
11:52 sergot Should I change LWP:: to HTTP:: in my proposal on gsoc-melange?
11:53 * moritz doesn't care much
12:03 FROGGS sergot: that does not matter
12:06 sergot ok :)
