08:45 sergot hi o/
08:46 sergot I'm back after really hard weekend being ill
08:50 FROGGS ewww
08:50 FROGGS welcome back then :o)
08:50 sergot last 5 days!
08:50 sergot FROGGS: what do you think about the documentation?
08:52 FROGGS the documentation for openssl and lower level modules like http::message is okay
08:52 FROGGS for the modules that the user directly uses you should provide usecases along with examples
08:53 FROGGS and more descriptions of the exposed methods and their implications
08:53 FROGGS so that somebody who has no idea about ssl/tls can use it properly
08:54 FROGGS if you wish you can also include a paragraph with "best practises", so that beginners know that they should use tls and should always validate certs
09:05 sergot ok :)
09:05 sergot do you think the documentation is the last step in this gsoc project?
09:05 sergot (and eveything else after ending gsoc?)
09:06 FROGGS when All The ThingsĀ® are implemented and the tests pass on the subset of platforms we've chosen, then yes
09:06 sergot IO::Socket::SSL doesn't have tests.
09:06 FROGGS after gsoc we will work on portability, because that will become very important for the usefulness of the modules
09:07 FROGGS well, add tests then :o)
09:07 sergot I plan to :)
09:07 FROGGS even when these are just sanity tests... no tests is always a bad idea
09:08 sergot yep :)
09:11 sergot ok, let's start then :)
09:12 FROGGS +1 :o)
10:54 FROGGS can you please blog about the status?
