19:28 Auzon Hi all.
19:28 moritz_ hi
19:29 moritz_ roll-call
19:29 Auzon I don't have a prewritten report this week. I got distracted ;)
19:29 pmichaud Croissant!
19:29 moritz_ you still have one minute ;)
19:29 Auzon :P
19:29 moritz_ Auzon: just start typing here, no worries ;-)
19:29 moritz_ Auzon: a few lines are enough, doesn't have to be rhymes ;-)

19:30 * TimToady stares at the screen...
19:31 Auzon - finished S03 last week, but not with tons of tests.
19:31 Auzon - started S09 this week. Added 98 tests on Monday (the same 7 looped over and over).
19:31 Auzon - I'm continuing to add tests for S09, and I expect to have quite a few done to make up for unproductive weeks
19:31 Auzon - minor fudging as usual.
19:31 Auzon - nothing else that I can think of :)
19:31 moritz_ great, me next
19:31 moritz_ * Usual stuff: monitored Auzon++'s commits, fudged and migrated some tests
19:31 moritz_ * Submitted gsoc mid-term evaluation.
19:32 moritz_ * Nothing really exciting from my side.
19:32 moritz_ EOR
19:32 Auzon (oh, I did my midterm evaluation too)
19:32 moritz_ pmichaud, do you have a report?
19:32 pmichaud two items:
19:32 pmichaud (1)  been working on getting tests to pass
19:32 pmichaud Jun 27 - Jul 4   we added 500+ new passing tests
19:33 pmichaud (2) last night I had a conference call with Houston.pm, they're wanting to adopt and start working on parts of the test suites
19:33 pmichaud I walked them through the process of building Rakudo and explaining the test suite
19:33 pmichaud including how the tests are organized and how we want people to migrate tests into t/spec
19:34 pmichaud from that I took some notes on "how to add to the test suite", I'll want to type those up and publish them
19:34 moritz_ pmichaud: have you seen t/HOWTO ?
19:34 pmichaud O
19:34 pmichaud I'll look at it -- hadn't seen it yet
19:35 [particle] i wonder if that'd be better as t/spec/HOWTO
19:35 pmichaud if there are any particular sections that PM groups could be working on, let me know and I'll pass the word
19:35 moritz_ pmichaud: t/blocks/ seems fairly promising
19:35 pmichaud I think having a HOWTO will be good, but I also think we should publish/recruit via blog posts (rakudo.org, use.perl, etc.)
19:35 pmichaud t/blocks/ would be excellent, yes.
19:36 pmichaud anyway, EOR from me
19:36 moritz_ [particle]: have you got a report?
19:36 [particle] nothing relevant, no
19:36 moritz_ ok, open discussion then
19:36 moritz_ Auzon: the usual questions: any road blockers?
19:37 Auzon No, I feel that things are going well.
19:37 * TimToady .oO(t/blocks)
19:37 moritz_ ;)
19:37 moritz_ and it seems you're back on schedule, right?
19:38 pmichaud oh, that reminds me -- I added a column to rakudo's spectest-progress.csv file to guesstimate the overall size of the official test suite
19:38 pmichaud (based on parsing 'plan' statements)
19:38 Auzon Yes, and I should be good (numerically) by the end of the week, too.
19:39 [particle] pmichaud: i haven't seen any graphs depicting that. did i miss one?
19:39 moritz_ [particle]: it's not yet in a graph
19:39 [particle] might be nice to see pie chart forms, too
19:39 pmichaud 5301 tests in t/spec as of now
19:40 moritz_ so about 1/4 of all tests have been migrated
19:40 [particle] i hope they've all been migrated before year's end
19:41 pmichaud I hope they're all passi.... er, never mind.
19:41 Auzon moritz_: by my count, it's closer to 1/3. (11291 out of spec, 5353 in spec according to my script)
19:41 [particle] auzon: do you have a total test count, so far?
19:41 moritz_ perhaps with help from Houston.pm ;-)
19:41 [particle] er, i'm sorry, a running test count for soc?
19:41 moritz_ Auzon: istr that pugs smokes showed an overal of 18k to 20k tests
19:42 Auzon [particle]: 372 is the amount I got done last week. This week already has 104 tests, though, and I'm not half done
19:42 [particle] lovely. halfway through the program, and ahead on test count.
19:43 Auzon moritz_: I recall the same thing. I know I'm missing some tests with my count, but shouldn't be thousands missing. :-/
19:43 moritz_ was there a test count target?
19:43 Auzon moritz_: 750 add, 250 modify/update.
19:44 moritz_ well, there's no use hunting missing tests counted by unreliable methods ;)
19:44 moritz_ Auzon: ok, thanks
19:44 Auzon modifying is hard to quantify, especially with general cleanup and fudging.
19:44 moritz_ pmichaud: re Houston.pm, anything we can do to support you?
19:45 pmichaud ideas... and I'll know more based on mailing lists discussions with Houston.pm over the next few days
19:45 moritz_ t/TAKSKS is a good place for ideas
19:45 pmichaud yes, I'll point that out also.
19:45 moritz_ I added something about testing Junctions in there that might be fun to implement
19:46 [particle] and if anyone needs a commitbit, you, moritz, TimToady and i are metacommitters for pugs
19:46 moritz_ [particle]: any pugs commiter is also a metacommitter ;)
19:46 moritz_ anything else we need to discuss?
19:46 [particle] i don't think that's true, moritz_, is it?
19:46 moritz_ (except saying "great work everyone" again ;-)
19:46 moritz_ [particle]: I'm quite sure it is
19:47 moritz_ that's pugs viral marketing model ;)
19:47 moritz_ Auzon: do you have access to http://commitbit.pugscode.org/admin/project/Pugs/people ?
19:47 [particle] then i'm not sure of the difference between author and admin on commitbit.pugscode.org
19:47 Auzon 404ed.
19:48 Auzon oh, wait, hang on
19:48 moritz_ [particle]: that's of historic interest only iirc
19:48 Auzon My browser is trying to compensate for DNS issues by prepending a www. , which is wrong
19:48 moritz_ it hangs for me now
19:48 Auzon Same.
19:48 [particle] wake the slaves.
19:48 moritz_ well, that's nothing we have to clarify duriing the meeting
19:49 moritz_ anything else?
19:49 Auzon Out of curiosity, when are the design phone meeting minutes usually posted?
19:49 pmichaud usually within a day or two after the meeting, but it depends on the minute-taker's schedule
19:49 Auzon ok
19:51 moritz_ ok, let's call it a week
19:51 moritz_ thank you all (for work and attending the meeting ;-)
19:51 Auzon Great :)
19:52 * moritz_ wanders off and tries to fix commitbit
