19:29 Auzon Hi.
19:30 moritz_ hi
19:31 [particle] joined #perl6-soc
19:31 [particle] time flies like an arrow
19:31 moritz_ ;-)
19:31 moritz_ ok, let's start
19:31 moritz_ Auzon: your report please
19:32 * TimToady performs drum roll...
19:32 Auzon - Last week was hugely productive. I'm pretty much caught up numerically, and there's still more S09 stuff that I can do if I have spare time.
19:32 Auzon - S04 this week and half of next week. Other half is S05.
19:32 Auzon - I was gone Monday and will be gone for Friday. I still hope to meet my quota.
19:32 Auzon - Minor difficulties finding stuff in S04 to test. I'll just have to read very closely.
19:32 Auzon - Probably going to be on vacation first week of August. I'll see if I need to plan around it.
19:32 Auzon - end.
19:33 moritz_ [particle]: anything to report?
19:33 [particle] no
19:33 moritz_ ok, then I'm next
19:33 moritz_ Usual stuff: monitored Auzon++'s commits, added few tests
19:33 moritz_ * noticed an error in quite some tests (pmichaud++):
19:33 moritz_ is try {stuff}, $other, $explanation
19:33 moritz_ is parsed as
19:33 moritz_ is try({stuff}, $otehr, $explanatain) - only one arg to is()
19:33 moritz_ many tests get that wrong
19:33 moritz_ * most tests with try { } should be rewritten in terms of lives_ok and eval_dies_ok anyway, IMHO
19:34 moritz_ * closed a few rakudo tickets, opened new ones instead ;-)
19:34 moritz_ * Not much test suite work otherwise
19:34 moritz_ EOR
19:34 moritz_ ok, usual questions: Auzon: any blockers (except S04 test finding)?
19:34 Auzon None.
19:35 moritz_ I think that the "control exception" section needs much better testing (if you understand it)
19:35 Auzon Thanks moritz_, I'll look at it.
19:35 [particle] i have a general comment, for the end.
19:36 moritz_ since I have no further comments... go right ahead [particle]
19:36 [particle] between parrot 0.6.3 and 0.6.4 releases, rakudo is passing 965 (iirc) more spectests.
19:36 [particle] i'm sure a good deal of that was enabled by this gsoc project
19:36 moritz_ (I think it's 910, but it's the same order of magnitude)
19:37 [particle] it's *huge* progress. keep it up.
19:37 moritz_ but don't be disappointed if it doesn't continue like this in terms of numbers
19:38 moritz_ much if it was porting tests to spec/, and a bit fudging
19:38 [particle] of course
19:38 moritz_ now a large part of what rakudo does is already there, so it won't rise that quickly again
19:38 moritz_ (and rakudo doesn't do much in terms of S09 either)
19:39 moritz_ but I agree, the project is a big help
19:39 moritz_ any more comments?
19:39 Auzon Thanks :) I'll continue to help there when I see stuff.
19:39 moritz_ or questions?
19:40 moritz_ or bad jokes from TimToady? ;-)
19:40 TimToady are there any other kind?
19:40 moritz_ from time to time, yes ;-)
19:40 [particle] that's a frame of mind
19:40 moritz_ well, let's call it a week
19:40 TimToady btw, am currently whacking on the When is a closure not a closure, so S04 will have some revamped tests
19:40 moritz_ @everybody>>.++
