21:44 azawawi hi
21:44 azawawi any chance we could have faster Travis CI builds now that we have 2015.12? i.e. skip building `rakudobrew build 2015.12` and use a ready-made image?
21:45 azawawi also any idea how to upgrade to trusty (https://docs.travis-ci.com/user/trusty-ci-environment/#Using-the-Trusty-beta)
21:46 azawawi i tried the above and still im getting precise (Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS, precise), see https://travis-ci.org/azawawi/perl6-opencv/jobs/103209832
22:00 ugexe perl6 is not on the trusty list of currently supported run times
22:00 mst I think you'd probably have to hack it yourself
22:00 mst i.e. host your rakudo etc. builds somewhere and pull the tarball down
22:00 mst if you can make that work, we can go from there to trying to figure out how to make that generealisable
22:05 hoelzro if you built an Ubuntu package for rakudo, you could probably add it to the apt sources and apt-get install it
22:08 ugexe on that note, here is a working AppVeyor configuration for CI testing on windows https://gist.github.com/ugexe/e95307a3a606df83fdcb

22:11 hoelzro ugexe++
22:11 hoelzro that's great!
22:11 azawawi perfect. ugexe++
22:12 mst hoelzro: yeah, I'm thinking 'one big tarball' is the easiest way to try something first
22:12 azawawi that's what i needed for opencv windows testing
22:12 hoelzro mst: oh, definitely
22:13 azawawi that said, shell::command is broken horribly on windows :(
22:13 azawawi the which(...) command is not portable

22:29 azawawi ugexe: and it is rolling https://ci.appveyor.com/project/azawawi/perl6-opencv/build/1.0.3 :)
22:31 azawawi ugexe: btw rakudobrew is working perfectly on windows (at least for me on windows 7 ultimate)
22:36 azawawi also take a look at the environment variables needed to make nmake and cl work without running vcvars32.bat on windows 7 x64, https://github.com/azawawi/perl6-opencv/blob/master/src/compile.pl6#L15
22:36 azawawi s/take/please take/
22:38 ugexe i use it on my workstation too. but for a single instance its easier to just use Configure.pl for when you are trying passing in more options
22:45 ugexe the path stuff is what they recommended on their forum. im not sure why, maybe it works with different versions of VS?
22:47 ugexe maybe someone familiar with installing perl6 under cygwin can add that option as well
22:51 azawawi sure
23:01 azawawi it seems to run one build at a time btw
23:01 azawawi so one is running, the others are queued
