01:18 [Coke] tadzik: two more pull requests for you. I'll have one or two more tomorrow once I'm back behind the firewall.

05:16 MadcapJake nine_: I think we could actually utilize the options in the path-spec to handle this for us but I would need to extend the option values to include periods, any reason why it was only `<[\w-]>+` ?

12:17 [Coke] tadzik: diakopter applied those 2.
12:24 tadzik oh, sweet :)
12:36 [Coke] and, I was finally able to use rakudobrew to install something last night. whee!
12:36 [Coke] now to fix it for work. :)

12:49 [Coke] looks like diakopter didn't merge the PRs, though, it looks like I just committed to master. ah well.

12:56 [Coke] should we complain if GIT_PROTOCOL is set to something other than https or git?
12:57 [Coke] (or http, I suppose?)
13:08 [Coke] https://github.com/tadzik/rakudobrew/pull/97 - added a comment for a potentially better way to get to my git@ urls and still leave git:// available.
13:09 [Coke] dunno how standard GIT_PROTOCOL is.
13:10 [Coke] oh, duh.
13:10 [Coke] Yah, I think my comment is the right way to go. (have git/http|s/ssh, and my way is ssh)
13:10 [Coke] ... reworking, one sec.
13:21 [Coke] https://github.com/tadzik/rakudobrew/pull/97 is updated, should work the same as before unless you use GIT_PROTOCOL=ssh
13:21 [Coke] (and that works for me. I can use https or ssh, but git protocol isn't going to work behind a firewall)
13:36 [Coke] anyone have any feedback on https://github.com/tadzik/rakudobrew/issues/92 ?
13:36 [Coke] (remove rakudobrew support for pre-glr)
13:37 moritz as a user, I'd be totally fine with that.
13:38 tadzik [Coke]: sounds good to me
13:39 perlpilot same here
13:40 [Coke] ok. Need a PR for that? Should be handled by the removal of that part of the impls hash.
13:41 tadzik I'd happily accept a PR :)
13:45 [Coke] dammit. :)
13:45 tadzik :P
13:48 [Coke] https://github.com/tadzik/rakudobrew/pull/98
13:49 [Coke] I'm also wondering if we want "list-available" to be slightly less verbose (ala #80), but have a -all that does show all tags.
13:50 tadzik hmm
13:50 tadzik I'd like that, as long as it at least shows the last 3-ish tags
13:51 [Coke] Oh, short term, I was just going to say any date tags that are 2015.12 or later. :)
13:51 tadzik that works too :)
13:52 tadzik but the problem will reappear in a few... maybe years :)
13:52 [Coke] and we can make it smarter later to deal with latest/stable/whatever. (except we don't have "stable" as a release type)
13:52 [Coke] tadzik: at which point I hope it's not our problem! ;)
13:59 tadzik right, for that we need to either put some more information in rakudo tags or have some external source for release

14:10 stmuk what like https://github.com/tadzik/rakudobrew/pull/75 ?
14:11 stmuk I dont think that cleanly applies anymore BTW

19:16 MadcapJake nine_: ^^ I ended up implementing the single-file per short-id version as I wouldn't need anything under short-id's besides their long-spec.
19:17 MadcapJake I would still be alright with changing to a folder but I don't see what each file would contain. The lookup has to be on the entire spec (otherwise how would you handle a different version?)
19:18 MadcapJake I could see it being a dist-id filename but then how would need-repository/need locate which one is right?
19:22 MadcapJake Anyways, I've hit a wall with this "Error while compiling, type X::Package::Stubbed packages: (CompUnit::RepositorySpecification,CompUnit::Repository::Unknown)"
19:22 MadcapJake Either I have stubs in the wrong place or not enough stubs somewhere
