20:13 davidfetter how'd it go last night, dukeleto ?
20:27 dukeleto not too bad
20:28 dukeleto i did a live demo, which worked, but there was a live demo core dump, that i can't reproduce. all in all, very fun :)
20:28 davidfetter :)
20:30 dukeleto people seem to get excited when i tell them they can use p6 grammars in postgresql
20:30 dukeleto also, someone had the idea of using a p6 grammar procedure in a constraint, so that you can verify data parses in a certain grammar when inserting
20:31 dukeleto which sounds like a cool idea
20:31 davidfetter it does indeed
20:31 davidfetter take the perennial "email address" domain issue
20:32 davidfetter with a grammar, the code to enforce it would at least be vaguely comprehensible

20:32 davidfetter without, it's "opaque call to library", "incredibly convoluted regex, which is still wrong," or "just plain wrong."
20:33 * davidfetter has used "octl" with some success
20:42 dukeleto yep!
20:43 * dukeleto is about to get lunch, be back later
20:43 davidfetter bon appetit
20:44 cxreg that sounds rad
20:45 davidfetter "jpw" is the commonest case
20:45 davidfetter "icrwisw" is the second-commonest :P
21:04 * davidfetter wonders what cxreg's been up to
