03:42 * Zoffix thinks he's best ask for a different assignment.
04:03 ether what happened with Test-Pretty?
04:07 Zoffix ether, well, first, there's a giant PR that rewrites most of it and fixes some of the issues, but it's not merged yet, presumably because the author is waiting for the release of new Test::More with new API: https://github.com/tokuhirom/Test-Pretty/pull/28
04:07 Zoffix And some of the test failures, etc, are fixed by that PR, so me trying to muck around, fixing something might end up already fixed by that PR
04:08 Zoffix I'm gonna submit a "fix" for this: https://github.com/tokuhirom/Test-Pretty/issues/26
04:08 Zoffix Just gonna add a SKIP to the test, but it still doesn't resolve the underlying issue, so the "fix" is rather pointless
04:09 Zoffix (in fact, even after I install Test-Pretty on Windows, it's outputting trash instead of pretty unicode, even when I do `chcp 65001`, which supposedly switches the terminal to utf8)

04:27 ether why would he wait? the code still needs to work with current Test::More
04:28 Zoffix Well, that's only the assumption the author of the PR proposed. The author of the module did not (yet) respond to my question on whether that PR can be merged.
04:31 Zoffix An in an earlier comment on that PR that author of the module said "Hm. Backward compatibility is not a critical issue for this module."
04:41 lejeunerenard Zoffix: your fix should still apply to my PR. The problem with windows perl is still there.
04:42 * lejeunerenard would admit that he doesnt quite understand the problem
04:42 Zoffix Yeah, I submitted the PR: https://github.com/tokuhirom/Test-Pretty/pull/31
04:48 lejeunerenard Zoffix: cool. you were saying that Test-Pretty just outputs junk on windows?
04:52 Zoffix Yeah... like "←[32mo←[0m←[90m  use JavaScript::Minifier;←[0m"
04:53 Zoffix Hm... Those 'can't find encoding... ' bits: http://i.imgur.com/Ool8Mzy.png

05:05 lejeunerenard I think that the `←[32mo←[0m←[90m` is the color escape codes. I believe the fallback character ( an "o" ) is being correctly outputted though. I'll add an issue and look at it later, hopefully.
