06:46 ptc ether: agreed.  That's one thing I'm going to propose to the Kavorka project

08:52 ptc ether: on a completely different topic; is it possible to get Module::AutoInstall to use cpanm instead of cpan or cpanplus?
08:52 ptc ether: a search of the docs and google didn't turn up anything, so I thought asking a maintainer would be a good idea :-)

16:33 ether ptc: very little chance unless someone provides patches. Module::Install is only in barebones maintenance, and we are trying to get everyone off of it onto better things, and AutoInstall is *especially* evil even on top of regular MI.
16:34 ether sorry, let me rephrase. NO chance unless someone provides patches :)
16:34 ether I should be realistic.

17:41 ptc wow, that's good to know.  What should one use instead of Module::Install?
17:41 ptc I'm currently using it on a large, somewhat long-term project, and it'd be good to know what one should use in order to have long term support
