13:26 ptc has anyone else noticed that Travis doesn't yet support perl-5.22?  Or is this just me, and I've done something silly in my .travis.yml files?
14:16 Zoffix ptc, what's your travis.yml file?
14:18 Zoffix ptc, there's this (note the link in the first comment): http://blogs.perl.org/users/gabor_szabo/2015/09/travis-ci-and-latest-version-of-perl-5.html
14:23 ptc Zoffix: thanks, it's good to know it's not just me
14:23 ptc Zoffix: I'm in the process of writing to the Travis people to ask them to fix the issue.
14:23 ptc Zoffix: as it turns out, 5.22 is in their Chef cookbooks, however it doesn't seem to be provisioned to the hosts for some reason
14:24 ptc Zoffix: nevertheless, I wanted to check that I wasn't the only one seeing the issue.
14:24 Zoffix There's this Issue still open : https://github.com/travis-ci/travis-ci/issues/4077
14:25 ptc Zoffix: btw: the .travis.yml file is really standard, but as soon as one uses `perl: "5.22"` it fails
14:26 ptc ah, thanks for the issue, I hadn't found that (amazingly enough)
14:27 ptc I managed to find this while I was digging today: https://github.com/travis-ci/travis-cookbooks/blob/3121e30498fe9387959ab703ca7750ee915d73ac/cookbooks/travis_perlbrew/attributes/multi.rb
14:27 ptc which shows that perl-5.22 has theoretically been in their Chef config for almost a month
14:29 ptc hrm, and it seems that rolling out the change is on hold: https://github.com/travis-ci/travis-cookbooks/pull/482
14:30 ptc well, I think I'll throw an email at the maintainer of the cookbooks to see if he can do something about it.  What do you think?
14:30 Zoffix Wouldn't hurt.

18:19 ether neilb: did you get my message from MemoServ?
18:19 ether /msg MemoServ list
18:19 ether it should have notified you when you next connected
18:19 neilb it didn’t notify me :-(
18:21 neilb read it now — will do!
18:21 neilb There’s this amazeballs thing called email: you can send me a message and I don’t have to be connected. I read it regularly!
18:22 Zoffix :P
18:23 neilb ether: have removed the +1
18:23 ether danke :)
18:23 ether I'll send email next time. I wanted an excuse to try out memoserv :)
18:25 neilb heh. alh sent me a memo last week, but I didn’t know until he asked me directly, at which point I went and found it.
18:25 neilb I assume it’s my irc client that’s a bit crap
18:25 neilb but less crap than the other ones I’ve tried so far
