09:44 ptc neilb: I wouldn't mind rolling into next year.  The PRC has been fun and it feels like it has had a positive effect on those modules that have been involved
09:47 neilb \o/
09:49 neilb I reckon peoples’ moods depend on (a) the module they got, and (b) whether their PR was merged. Mine for Nov got merged, so I’m feeling pretty positive about the whole thing today :-)
10:02 Lee 50% of my pulls have been merged
10:02 Lee which i think is a reasonable success rate
10:03 Lee oh, actually it's more like 33%
10:04 Lee which is still ok...
10:04 neilb (I just add a footnote “Merge this PR or I’ll assign all of your dists every month”. Seems to do the trick :-)
10:20 neilb Lee: I’d say the most common PRC email I’ve had this year is someone feeling disheartened / pissed off because either the author hasn’t replied to email or hasn’t responded to a PR.
10:21 Lee yes, of the 6 or so that remaind for me none of them have even been acknowledged
10:22 Lee i can understand why this happens, but most of the users i've submit PR's for seem very active on github so it's a bit frustrating
10:22 Lee perhaps they don't have e-mail notifications and don't visit github often so haven't seen them
10:24 neilb I’ve had PRs merged more than 6 months after the fact. The reality is that any given individual’s enthusiasm and time for open source work ebbs & flows.
10:24 Lee yep
10:25 neilb a more positive stat: we already have 4 people who are 11 for 11, and there are another eleven people who could hit that mark too
10:25 Lee w00t! :)
10:25 Lee longest gap between raising a pull and having it responded to is 3 years for me at present :)
10:31 neilb I’m pretty sure I’ve still got plenty open, but don’t think I’ve passed 3 years yet!

12:23 Lee samb1: maybe you could do an advent pr-challenge :D
12:24 samb1 wooo \o/
13:04 neilb samb1: not too late, just email me your github username and your PAUSE id if you have one

16:32 ether I recall that there was a ticket open on one of rjbs's distributions that got closed 10 years to the day after it was opened (and the timing was unintentional)
16:32 ether some of my very first PRs I created on github in ~2010ish are still open

22:26 thrig hey! you could submit a PR to fix it
22:26 ether heh
22:59 jnap its not a 'PR' thing but if people wanted a change of pace, I could use Catalyst related articles for Advent 2015 ;)
