00:03 bodepd_ I'm officially pathetically begging for code review :)
00:14 bodepd_ aimon: I also looked at the enovance one, but I noticed they had merge conflicts merged into master. It looked like they had other branches with more activity
02:13 openstackgerrit Yu Xingchao proposed a change to stackforge/puppet-swift: Add swift::storage::disk to support disk device.  https://review.openstack.org/26723
02:51 openstackgerrit A change was merged to stackforge/puppet-glance: Add swift_store_auth_version to swift backend.  https://review.openstack.org/26158
02:54 dachary joined #puppet-openstack
05:20 openstackgerrit Aimon Bustardo proposed a change to stackforge/puppet-cinder: Add Nexenta Support  https://review.openstack.org/26817
08:51 aimon bodepd_ I have started testing your quantum fork
08:51 aimon I have a short timeline for integration so may have a bunch fo submissions
10:05 d3u joined #puppet-openstack
10:38 aimon actually your branch seems pretty healthy so far.. :)
10:38 aimon s/branch/fork/
11:44 openstackgerrit Dan Prince proposed a change to stackforge/puppet-nova: Add support for configuring qpid.  https://review.openstack.org/26230
12:05 openstackgerrit Dan Prince proposed a change to stackforge/puppet-swift: Drop Swift requirement on keystone:python.  https://review.openstack.org/26215
12:05 openstackgerrit Dan Prince proposed a change to stackforge/puppet-swift: Set config_file_path in storage::node.  https://review.openstack.org/26250

16:52 bodepd_ aimon: I knows its REALLY close. The only things I had issue with were:
16:52 bodepd_ aimon: 1. metadata server (it looks like you have to pass the uuid of the router in the l3 agent file, so it may have to be done with a script for now)
16:53 bodepd_ aimon: 2. L3 routing was not working (but it may have been a vbox issue)
17:15 mgagne bodepd_: I added rabbit ha support to quantum in a fork I made on github. I'll add tests later today if I have time left.
17:17 bodepd_ a fork of what fork?
17:18 mgagne https://github.com/mgagne/puppet-quantum
17:18 mgagne yours
17:18 bodepd_ from the folsom branch?
17:18 bodepd_ I need to push that back to master so folks don't get confused
17:18 mgagne master I think
17:18 mgagne shouldn't be hard to cherry-pick anyway
17:23 mgagne bodepd_: do you know qpid? what's the purpose of realm and how would it affect or not openstack/nova?
17:31 bodepd_ mgagne: no, ask dprince
17:31 bodepd_ mgagne: I rebased folsom on master and pushed it back to master
17:31 bodepd_ mgagne: I believe that was the correct thing to do
17:31 mgagne bodepd_: Ok, I added some inline comments
17:31 mgagne bodepd_: folsom got merged then?
17:32 bodepd_ mgagne: wait. what.
17:32 mgagne what what?
17:32 bodepd_ in the quantum module, I had to rebase folsom on master so that it could get merged
17:32 bodepd_ onto master
17:32 mgagne so: folsom got merged then?
17:33 bodepd_ I am about to run a diff to try to figure out what exactly it did
17:33 bodepd_ mgagne: um. yes!?
17:33 mgagne ok =)
17:33 bodepd_ except, I didnt merge, I just pushed it
17:35 bodepd_ mgagne: no diffs between those branches now. master is what folsom is
17:35 bodepd_ or somethign like that
17:35 mgagne alright
17:37 mgagne ok, I rebased my grizzly branch
17:38 bodepd_ mgagne: do you want to add puppet lint to the jenkins job builder definition?
17:39 bodepd_ mgagne: how is you quantum testing going?
17:39 mgagne I don't think it should be required for now. most puppet modules aren't lint compliant anyway
17:39 bodepd_ with that config (and the matching config from the openstack modules) I know that dhcp and l2 should work
17:40 mgagne it's doing great, I'm using linuxbridge with unpublished classes in my private openstack module
17:40 mgagne I don't use openvswitch so I can't tell
17:40 mgagne I'll add linuxbridge support upstream as soon as I can commit =)
17:40 bodepd_ oh, I forgot
17:40 bodepd_ thanks!
17:41 openstackgerrit A change was merged to stackforge/puppet-nova: Add support for configuring qpid.  https://review.openstack.org/26230
17:56 mgagne bodepd_: I tried to reproduce the problem in the openstack module regarding the rename of cinder
17:57 mgagne bodepd_: I'm getting different results on my laptop and on an other VM I have. I'll check again today and try to propose a fix.

18:51 mgagne bodepd_: shouldn't puppet-quantum depends on puppetlabs/mysql, cprice404/inifile and puppetlabs/keystone? not sure about stdlib thought
18:54 mgagne bodepd_: stdlib is required, a class is using validate_re (quantum::plugins::ovs)

22:07 openstackgerrit Dan Bode proposed a change to stackforge/puppet-nova: require sections are specified in nova_config  https://review.openstack.org/26894
22:20 mgagne bodepd_: I canceled my previous pull request and made a new one (for quantum rabbit ha support) This one includes new rspec tests.
22:33 bodepd_ I saw the PR. IT looks ok
22:33 bodepd_ didnt review the rspec yet
22:33 mgagne I tried with 2.6, 2.7, 3.0 and 3.1 (ruby 1.8.7)
22:35 mgagne bodepd_: I think the cinder class problem is caused by this ongoing bug: http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/2053
22:37 mgagne bodepd_:: I did not experiment this problem with my private openstack because I probably have the same parameters names in both classes (openstack::nova and nova for example) when it comes to required parameters.
22:40 mgagne bodepd_: I therefore don't know how to fix this as all puppet versions are behaving the same and the bug doesn't seem to be fixed in any of them.
22:46 mgagne bodepd_: it's definitely trying to include openstack::cinder even when using "::cinder"
22:59 mgagne bodepd_: Should we drop openstack::cinder or rename it? I think it never worked with default parameters anyway as cinder::volume::iscsi requires iscsi_ip_address which isn't provided by openstack::cinder.
23:59 openstackgerrit Dan Bode proposed a change to stackforge/puppet-openstack: update nova_config to add sections to nova_config  https://review.openstack.org/26899
