00:09 BenBE kpreid That's Kevin on the planet?
00:10 kpreid unless there's more than one...
00:10 shortcircuit Not AFAIK
00:11 BenBE Try to get in contact with the ppl at Noisebridge. @solidsnack (Jason Dusek) might be of help. Also there's some affordable places to stay near "Flower Market" in the south of San Francisco.
00:14 BenBE I don't know of places to stay in Mountain View. But if you want a place there, you might try to get in contact with the people at Hacker Dojo.
00:14 BenBE HTH.
00:14 kpreid TY.
00:20 shortcircuit Do we have an integer counting task?
00:22 shortcircuit i.e. something satisfiable by  "my \$i = 0; while(true) { print ++\$i . "\n"; }" or "5 let A = 0\n10 LET A = A + 1\n20 PRINT A\n30 GOTO 10\n"
00:27 BenBE wouldn't for(int i = 1; 1; i++) printf("%d\n", i); be MUCH simpler ;-)
00:29 kpreid shortcircuit: I think only the 'show us your for loop, your while loop, ...' tasks

00:33 shortcircuit [[Integer Sequence]]
00:33 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Integer_Sequence
00:33 * shortcircuit was just nostalgic for the BASIC example. :)
00:34 shortcircuit I may have my types off for the C and C++ examples. I'm not really experienced with the stdint types.
00:34 sorear Why is it tagged draft?
00:34 sorear There's no talk page!
00:35 shortcircuit Usually, the talk page gets created as people find issues to bring up.
00:35 realazthat__ left #rosettacode
00:36 sorear shortcircuit: but where is there a "this page has issues on the talk page" template if no issues are brought up?
00:39 BenBE shortcircuit I fixed the C sample.
00:39 BenBE C header files ALWAYS include the .h.
00:39 kpreid What's this "uint" and "uint_32" stuff?
00:41 kpreid doesn't sound standard, I'm changing 'em to unsigned int unless someone objects
00:41 kpreid (I'm sure they need some header file other than stdio, at least)
00:41 BenBE uint = unsinged int (from the stdint.h header, which defines standard sizes for integer types in C)
00:41 kpreid which you didn't include.
00:41 BenBE uint32 is C standard; but requires stdint.h to be included.
00:41 shortcircuit kpreid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stdint.h#Exact-width_integer_types
00:41 fedaykin "stdint.h - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" http://rldn.net/258
00:42 BenBE unsigned int would be the long form.
00:42 * shortcircuit nods. I should have included stdint.h
00:42 BenBE uint32 = unsigned integer with 32 bits.
00:42 kpreid I just read my stdint.h
00:42 kpreid there is no uint or uint_32
00:43 BenBE there should be ...
00:43 BenBE mom.
00:43 * BenBE looks into the copy on his computer ...
00:43 kpreid uint32_t, yes
00:43 kpreid not uint_32
00:44 kpreid posix doesn't mention those names either (and posix is a superset of c99)
00:44 kpreid http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/009695399/basedefs/stdint.h.html
00:44 fedaykin "<stdint.h>" http://rldn.net/74w
00:44 kpreid I'd ref c99 itself but I don't know where to find it / it doesnt' pop up in google
00:55 BenBE If you include stdint.h, you can use uint32_t and the like. If you don't use them, you can remove stdint.h.
00:55 shortcircuit ISO/IEC 14882:2003(E) apparently doesn't reference cstdint.
00:56 shortcircuit (That's the 2003 C++ standard)
00:56 shortcircuit I don't know if 0x references it or not. Anyone have a link to the draft?

00:59 shortcircuit This looks like it's the final draft of C99: http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/WG14/www/docs/n1256.pdf
01:02 shortcircuit stdint is defined on page 267.
01:02 * shortcircuit is afk

01:30 BenBE What's the category name for QBasic?
01:31 shortcircuit I don't know if we have one.
01:32 BenBE I added the QBasic-Sample, as that one is different from BASIC as you can skip the line numbers entirely.
01:34 BenBE If there's a QuickBasic category, you could also use that one.
01:34 BenBE QBasic and QuickBasic are identical for this case.
01:35 shortcircuit It looks like QBasic and QuickBasic are lumped as implementations of BASIC.
02:00 BenBE Yes. With the (minor) difference, that QBasic/Quickbasic don't require the line numbering.

14:23 shortcircuit BenBE: I was referring to wiki structure. I'm familiar with QBASIC, at least. My recollection of QuickBasic was similar to QBASIC except that it included a compiler, and not just a runtime.
14:27 shortcircuit I remember really liking QBASIC's online help, too; it let me browse the builtins listing and read all the relevant docs. That was a handy reference.

21:20 kpreid where's that bot?!
21:22 kpreid ah, yes, very nice
21:27 BenBE I kinda like unrEVOked3 ;-)
21:33 shortcircuit kpreid: The bot doesn't sense emotes.
21:35 kpreid since they're fiddled ordinary messages that's a choice by the bot
21:39 shortcircuit kpreid: I don't know. I'm taking over maintenance of a python bot, and the underlying bot class provides callbacks for PMs and public messages, but also doesn't see emotes.
21:39 shortcircuit I plan to get to the bottom of it eventually, but it's taking a while to refactor the bot into something clean enough that I can modify it to do what I want it to do.
