00:05 mikemol Coderjoe: I found out what it was about; some kind of toolbar called "deals for free" or some such. Pops up deals related to websites people are browsing. I assume it involves flash, and the flash applet was poking the domain asking for a security policy.
00:06 mikemol It's actually really scary; some browser out there is allowing flash applets to be run in toolbars, as though they were being launched from the website the user is viewing.
00:08 mikemol It sounds like a recipe for a trojan horse attack. I *think*, by default, Flash won't allow cross-domain requests, but will allow same-domain requests. If, to Flash, toolbars have the perspective of the viewed page, then that'd let a flash applet automatically interact with the server.
00:09 mikemol Anyway, I put in a security policy file which I believe disallows even same-domain requests.
00:10 mikemol I'm thinking I should check out Flameeyes's mod_security, and get around to getting an SSL cert in place.
00:11 mikemol One thing at a time, though. Currently working on the 'LinkBid' extension.

03:55 mikemol FYI, I have HootSuite set up to do daily scheduled posts of random tasks to FB and Twitter for the entire month of July.

11:35 rodt i just added a java pi thing.. if someone wants to check its ok ? http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Pi#Java

12:25 mwn3d_phone rodt: it'd probably be best to print the digits all on the same line and BigInteger has static values for 1, 0, and (I think) 10. It'd speed it up (and shorten it a bit) to use those.
12:25 mwn3d_phone BigInteger.ONE etc.
12:28 rodt yeah :)
12:29 rodt isnt the obvious stuff best left for learners tho ;) ?
12:34 mikemol mwn3d_phone: Yes, August.
12:35 mikemol rodt: "obvious" is a subjective term.
12:44 rodt ok "fixed" :D

15:20 mwn3d_phone Hey cool. More people are using the user metadata properties I made.
15:25 mwn3d_phone rodt: also have you happened to look at the changes in java 7? If you have try to keep an eye out for places to demonstrate them.
15:25 mwn3d_phone I have a couple of examples with explanations here: [[User:Mwn3d/Java 7 stuff]]
15:25 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/User:Mwn3d/Java_7_stuff
15:26 mwn3d_phone I still need to add multicatch to that list. Or maybe I could put it on the exceptions task...
15:31 rodt ah cool :), i havent looked at java 7 yet tho
15:32 mwn3d_phone There are some nifty things there. I'm making an attempt at demonstrating the exception changes now.

16:11 mwn3d_phone Yeah I could put display text out there if I wanted. It seems weird to note in an "about me" blurb that I speak american english though. Id rather it be silently noted.

23:37 Hypftier hm, doesn't run with my own interpreter. But that one was golfed and wasn't well tested (a prime number finder ran, however)

23:42 Coderjoe beef doesn't output anything
23:42 Coderjoe (beef being a BF interpreter)
23:49 BenBE hmmm, could you have a look at debugging it?
23:51 Hypftier next thing you ask for is a BF profiler to know where to optimize ... :P
23:52 mbishop I find bf code often doesn't run in an interpreter, I imagine it varies from code to code and interpreter to interpreter
23:53 BenBE Actually: Do you have one laying around? Always wanted one to optimize my BFBitcon miner ;-)
23:53 Hypftier there are a few things unspecified, such as wraparound to the left or what happens with values > 255, etc.
23:53 Hypftier BenBE: you should really run that with a GPU BF interpreter, then ;)
23:54 mbishop yeah, I've had some bf code for a simple adder that thinks 5 + 5 = j
23:54 Hypftier sounds correct, actually :)
23:55 Hypftier [char](+[char]'5'+[char]'5') -> 'j' :P
23:56 Hypftier Still, that's just failure to subtract 48, I guess. I doubt that's an interpreter issue.
23:57 mwn3d_phone Brainfuck.tk also shows no output
23:57 BenBE That's why I have two copies of the numbers in memory ...
23:57 BenBE But There seems to be a problem with one of the loops ...
23:57 BenBE Currently investigating (with a BF interpreter I once wrote myself)
23:58 mwn3d_phone BenBE: that site I mentioned has a debug mode
23:58 mwn3d_phone It shows how memory changes with each line
