01:04 mikemol Arm: Greetings.
01:05 mikemol Saw http://rosettacode.org/mw/index.php?title=User:Arm&diff=117565&oldid=prev , so I thought I'd fling an invite your way. :)
01:05 fedaykin "User:Arm - Rosetta Code" http://rldn.net/IiKt
01:08 Arm yo!
01:08 Arm hahah
01:08 mikemol When did this channel get muted?
01:08 Arm took you some time
01:09 Arm how would I know
01:09 Arm :-)
01:09 mikemol Terminal beep's apparently silenced on this box.
01:09 Arm so, you were watching the wiki logs and saw the profile edit?
01:09 mikemol Default in this channel is supposed to be +v. I have to think services is down or behind atm.
01:09 mikemol Yeah
01:09 mikemol The wiki log RSS feed is how I keep up with RC.
01:11 Arm good, so you can catch bandalism real quick
01:11 Arm at least in theory
01:11 mikemol Hm. Yeah, ChanServ is supposed to issue +V to everyone who comes in.
01:12 mikemol Arm: I'm not the only one who follows via the RSS feed. Usually, someone else catches the vandalism before I can get to it.
01:12 sorear we're in a netsplit, maybe chanserv isn't available
01:12 mikemol Ah
01:12 Arm well.. I can access chanserv so it must not be the case
01:12 mikemol Hm. I was able to /msg ChanServ and query things.
01:12 Arm let me check, I'll rejoin
01:12 Arm left #rosettacode
01:12 mikemol Maybe it just missed his join.
01:12 Arm joined #rosettacode
01:12 * mikemol taps his foot, waiting for ChanServ.
01:15 failure_wav joined #rosettacode
01:15 mikemol Ok, hm. Just not working for Arm, apparently.

01:16 mikemol Maybe it's the ~ in the username portion of the hostmask?
01:16 mikemol s/hostmask/(insert correct term here)/
01:16 failure_wav arm has noop set it looks like
01:16 failure_wav /ns info arm
01:17 failure_wav that applies to autoop and autovoice
01:17 Arm ok, I did it manually
01:18 mikemol I suppose that clears it up.
01:18 Arm yeah, I have noop. I don't like to show off
01:18 failure_wav nothing wrong with that
01:18 Arm but didn't expect it to also mean novoice
01:18 mikemol failure_wav: k, thanks.
01:18 failure_wav ;)

15:29 Arm mikemol: is there a way to smack someone in rosettacode?
15:30 Arm there's a prick complaining that the snippets do not meet the task requirements although they do. I'm doubting his knowledge in the matter to even check them right.
15:30 opticron heh
15:31 opticron is he even making sense?
15:31 Arm http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Arbitrary-precision_integers_(included)#Smalltalk
15:31 fedaykin "Arbitrary-precision integers (included) - Rosetta Code" http://rldn.net/61k
15:31 Arm I just reverted the complaint and put a looong comment
15:31 Arm (on the revision)
15:31 Arm check that Paddy dude
15:34 opticron yeah, I don't know smalltalk, but it looks like it's doing what it's supposed to
15:36 Arm I fixed them just yesterday, and I swear they do what they should, but to see their output you must:
15:36 Arm * in the first snippet: open a Transcript window first for the output to go to
15:36 Arm * in the second: eval using PRINT not just DO.
15:36 Arm which is _basic_ stuff in smalltalk
15:37 Arm I bet it's among the first 5 things that you learn with any tutorial
15:37 opticron I wonder if that's mentioned in the smalltalk language page
15:38 opticron it doesn't appear to be
15:39 mwn3d_phone Arm: the "output?" Template is there to sa that the ouyput should be copied and pasted on to the article with the example
15:39 Arm should it?
15:39 mwn3d_phone Its not saying that its "incorrect" (which has its own template)
15:39 Arm "number of digits in result not given here"  is part of the output
15:40 mwn3d_phone Just run the program and paste the output in a <pre> block under the example and no one will complain
15:40 Arm but I see your point
15:40 Arm I'll add 'em
15:40 mwn3d_phone The active word in the complaint it "here" meaning "on this page"
15:40 mwn3d_phone Ugh....I'm having a terrible tping day
15:41 mwn3d_phone I need to do some thumb exercises I think
15:43 Arm added
15:43 mwn3d_phone If he thought that the example didn't print anthing he would have used [[template:incorrect]]. He made [[template:output?]] Because people complained when he used "incorrect".
15:44 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/template:incorrect  http://rosettacode.org/wiki/template:output? (Doesn't exist.)
15:44 mwn3d_phone Now that I look at it "output?" Looks worse that it should
15:44 mwn3d_phone The huge red box makes it look like a serious problem
15:45 Arm yeah
15:45 BenBE joined #rosettacode
15:46 mwn3d_phone I'll go to the talk page for it and see if paddy will change it for us
15:46 opticron hmmm... fedaykin needs to urlencode that link properly
15:46 mwn3d_phone Sorry for the confusion. No insults were intended.
15:50 mwn3d_phone Arm: also there's no way to smack someone on RC. No matter how much I want to sometimes.
15:50 Arm haha
15:51 Arm regretably...
15:53 mwn3d_phone And if you do find a way to smack someone you'll probably get banned for it (at least temporarily)
15:53 mwn3d_phone My advice is to keep it in your head and maybe play a violent video game
15:54 mwn3d_phone Or try to put it politely on a talk page
16:29 mikemol I've been thinking, lately, that it'd be *really* nice to have a [[Template:@]], so you could say "{{@|Mwn3d}} really needs to look at this", or something to that effect.
16:29 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Template:@ (Doesn't exist.)
16:29 Arm mwn3d_phone: regretably, my desktop box kicked off
16:30 * Arm is on a netbook
16:30 Arm mikemol: I second that
16:31 mwn3d_phone Arm: you're doing better than me. I'm on a phone with a busted y button.
16:31 Arm hahahah
16:31 Arm been there too
16:31 opticron xperia play?
16:31 mwn3d_phone LG ally
16:32 Arm actually, my current phone doesn't even have the labels anymore, I have to guess wtf I'm hitting
16:32 opticron oh right, fully keyboard
16:32 Arm (no pun intended)
16:32 Arm xD
16:32 opticron :)
16:32 opticron I've stuck with non-keyboard phones
16:32 mbishop I just got a motorola triumph
16:33 mbishop I'm on it right note
16:33 mbishop :D
16:33 mbishop now
16:33 opticron kind of lusting after the as yet announced nexus prime
16:33 Arm I think I'll wait till google makes it's new motorola series
16:33 Arm it sounds promising
16:34 mwn3d_phone mikemol: could the @ template notify a user somehow? Email or sitebar or something?
16:34 opticron I doubt it'll be a moto
16:34 mbishop swype is pretty nice
16:34 mbishop makes the virtual keyboardwork well
16:36 mbishop I'm logged in to my shell through the phone :D
16:36 mwn3d_phone I'm using andchat
16:37 opticron I tend to use connectbot+screen+irssi
16:39 mwn3d_phone I have connectbot too. I had a bot running on m friends server but he stopped paying for the server.
16:39 mbishop yeah I'm using connect bot IrssI
16:39 mwn3d_phone (Stupid y button....)
16:40 mbishop its customized for IrssI

17:24 mwn3d_phone Arm: I tried to nice-ify it at [[Template:Output?/Beta]]
17:24 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Template:Output?/Beta (Doesn't exist.)
17:25 mwn3d_phone Sorry fedaykin [[Template:Output%3F/Beta]]
17:25 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Template:Output%3F/Beta
17:26 mwn3d_phone I guess that's what you get for making a bot for a programmer community
17:39 opticron I'll fix it in a bit, I noticed it earlier :)
17:46 opticron [[Template:Output?]]
17:46 opticron dooo it
17:47 opticron huh...
17:48 opticron [[Template:Output?]]
17:48 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Template:Output%3F
17:48 * opticron walks away
17:54 mwn3d_phone Whoo!
17:55 mwn3d_phone I wonder what it does for other URLs with actual ? Arguments in them
