14:09 mikemol I think Ledrug is getting bored. He's leaving grumpy remarks in his edits.

19:30 mwn3d_phone While trying to retrieve the URL: http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges The following error was encountered: Unable to forward this request at this time.
19:30 fedaykin "ERROR: The requested URL could not be retrieved"
19:31 mikemol whups
19:31 mikemol Try now
19:32 mwn3d_phone And we're back!
19:34 mikemol Give it another try.
19:34 * mikemol was tweaking firewall rules. Forgot to specify an interface.
19:34 mwn3d_phone We're still back
19:34 mikemol k, good.
19:35 mwn3d_phone BenBE: sent this before but my phone didn't tell me I was disconnected...can GeSHi do inline highlighting (i.e. highlighting without putting text in an implicit pre block)?
19:35 mwn3d_phone maybe it could replace the <code> tag. With no argument it acts like normal but with a language name it does highlighting.
19:35 mikemol mwn3d_phone: GeSHi doesn't put anything inside the pre block.
19:36 mikemol The glue MW extension I've got is what does that.
19:36 mwn3d_phone Heh so the short answer is "it already does that"
19:37 mikemol To the question asked explicitly, yeah.
19:37 mikemol :)

19:38 mwn3d_phone I was thinking about it toda when I put "NullPointerException" in a <code> block. I kind of wanted it to link to the documentation like the <lang> tag makes it do.
19:38 mwn3d_phone Sure I could do it myself but we have computers to do it for us
19:38 mikemol The glue extension used to use '<code>'. I don't recall off the of my head why that was deprecated.
19:39 mikemol Ah. People who wanted to use the <code> HTML tag were irritated.
19:39 mwn3d_phone Yeah
19:40 mwn3d_phone So maybe <code> could act normal but <code language> could inline highlight
19:40 mwn3d_phone And <lang language> does the <pre> stuff
19:40 mikemol Right now, <lang> acts like <lang text>.
19:40 mwn3d_phone Yeah that's fine
19:41 mwn3d_phone Nothing needs to change with lang
19:41 mikemol So you'd like <code> to behave like <lang>, but emitting HTML <code> instead of HTML <pre>?
19:41 mwn3d_phone No
19:41 mwn3d_phone Wait
19:41 mwn3d_phone Maybe...
19:41 mwn3d_phone I need to re-read
19:42 mwn3d_phone Yes
19:43 mikemol Should be a fairly trivial thing to do. Which means all kinds of things are going to break.
19:44 mwn3d_phone Lol well its not totally essential if you think its too risky/don't have the time/don't feel like it
19:45 mikemol Hm
19:45 * mikemol wonders what the point of this preg_replace("/(^[ t]*n|n[ t]*$)/",$text); line is.
19:50 mwn3d_phone Is that the leading and trailing whitespace removal?
20:00 acor joined #rosettacode
22:50 BenBE mwn3d_phone It can. Just specify the NONE header type.
22:50 BenBE For the rest: See above ;-)
22:52 BenBE mwn3d_phone Yes. Looks like it.
22:54 mwn3d_phone heh I'm not even that good at regexes
