01:23 tyrok Hi!
01:23 mikemol tyrok: So, here's the thought. Right now, prgmr1 has apache and mysql. I want to migrate both to prgmr2.
01:24 tyrok K.  Is it just Apache that connects to it?
01:25 mikemol If I migrate mysql before apache, and then take prgmr1 offline, there shouldn't be db inconsistencies.
01:25 mikemol Yeah, it's just apache.
01:27 tyrok Right.  I'd probably set up prgmr1 as a master, prgmr2 as a slave, and either redirect new DB connections on prgmr1 to prgmr2 or shut down Apache on prgmr1 entirely.  Then, wait until the slave is at the master's current log position and shut down prgmr1.
01:30 mikemol So, updates get pushed from master to slave.
01:32 tyrok Yep.  And any updates to 2 in the meantime still take effect.
01:33 tyrok That's also assuming that, due to the version difference, you can't set up multi-master replication, and that's not necessarily a safe assumption.  If you could do that, it would be a bit easier.

02:29 mwn3d_phone Apologies to NevilleDNZ. We're not attacking you. We're just confused.
02:42 tyrok mikemol: FYI: rosettacode.org doesn't resolve for me.  www.rosettacode.org does.
02:42 fedaykin "Rosetta Code - Rosetta Code" "Rosetta Code - Rosetta Code"
02:43 mwn3d_phone I can still get there without the www
02:43 mwn3d_phone With it too
02:43 mwn3d_phone when I add the www it redirects to the one without it
02:44 mwn3d_phone And it looks like both work for fedaykin
02:44 tyrok It does for me, too.  But I had to use www.rosettacode.org to get there, and if I try to ping it, it doesn't resolve.
02:44 mikemol tyrok: dig a rosettacode.org

02:45 mikemol looks right.
02:45 tyrok However, if I ping, I get "unknown host".  Other websites work fine.
02:45 mwn3d_phone Ping works for me
02:45 mikemol hm
02:45 mwn3d_phone On both
02:46 mikemol Pastebin a traceroute?
02:46 * tyrok tries it from cell phone...
02:46 mwn3d_phone (Also on windows in case ping does something different there)
02:46 mwn3d_phone No I'm at my computer....just not signed in to IRC there
02:46 tyrok Works fine from my cell phone.  Just my desktop that's not able to resolve it.
02:48 mwn3d_phone mikemol: here's my trace: pastebin.com/vZjXjB6K

02:49 mikemol tyrok: Check out dnstracer

02:51 tyrok Same for www.
02:52 tyrok Eh, it may just be a local network problem.  I have no idea.  No other problems accessing anything, though.  Just rosettacode.org.
02:52 fedaykin "Rosetta Code - Rosetta Code"
02:52 mikemol hm
02:52 mikemol -c should have prevented it from stopping at your local resolver.
02:52 tyrok If I ask the nameservers directly with host, I get a result from all of them.
02:57 tyrok Well, I think I'm going to sign out.  See 'ya!
