02:02 Topic for #rosettacode is now Rosetta Code: Coding in (∞ - 1) languages ; http://irclog.perlgeek.de/rosettacode/today ; Pop a tab and stick around!
02:02 mikemol whew. Feel that server slowdown.
02:03 mikemol innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=1, sync_binlog=1. Yay, totally synchronous-on-disk database.
02:13 mikemol Doing backup of server database, setting up replication. Should only be down a few minutes.

02:46 kernigh This IRC thing on rosettacode.org is much larger than my browser window.
02:46 fedaykin "HTTP 503: Rosetta Code Undergoing Maintenance"
02:46 kernigh Any way to make it smaller?
02:46 mikemol Yeah, I can fix the code.
02:47 mikemol Also turned off the 503.
02:47 kernigh I am on the HTTP 503 page.
02:47 mikemol Reload
02:48 Coderjoe took me a forced refresh to get out
02:48 mikemol (Or open a new tab)
02:48 mikemol ugh. Squid caches 503s?
02:48 mikemol Coderjoe: Clues on how to purge Squid's cache?
02:48 Coderjoe probably depends on headers sent with it
02:49 Coderjoe without killing everything in it? no.
02:50 mikemol https://p.6core.net/p/zleillxcra2zam0u
02:50 Coderjoe there are commands you can send it (like mediawiki tries), but they have to be allowed by your acls, and I am not certain if it is as picky about headers matching
02:50 mikemol That's run by a ScriptAlias command, when I have 503s enabled.
02:50 mikemol It is indeed picky about headers matching.
02:51 Coderjoe i meant for the purge command
02:52 Coderjoe toss a "Cache-Control: no-cache" in the headers?
02:53 Coderjoe or "Cache-Control: must-revalidate" perhaps
02:54 Coderjoe nah, no-cache
02:54 mikemol squid's going to have to expire those entries eventually.

02:58 mikemol Ok, that's a little surprising.
02:58 mikemol er. hm. nm.
03:00 mikemol Ok, I think the cache problem is cleared for that particular page. No guarantees about anything else people loaded while 503s were up.
03:01 mikemol I added Cache-Control: no-cache to the 503 script.
03:23 mikemol crap. I'm going to have to re-enable the 503s. At least the cache-control stuff is in.
03:24 mikemol Should only be down for about 1m40s, total.
03:26 mikemol Should be back up.

17:41 mikemol So, RC database is being replicated to the new server.
17:42 mikemol Going to poke at SSL, now.

18:28 Coderjoe mikemol: did you solve your problem with the mysql.proc table?
18:28 mikemol Coderjoe: No. Haven't been thinking about it, really.
18:29 mikemol mysql shuts down, boots up, and nothing seems broken.
18:29 Coderjoe I think it comes from having two different versions of mysql, and you imported your mysql database from the old version into the new. and that new version happens to have added fields to the proc table
18:30 Coderjoe I had similar at work, but with the mysql.users table, which cased mysql to die
18:30 Coderjoe I would up giving up on importing the old data and just re-adding the users manually while referring to the old dump
18:31 Coderjoe (that is, I imported the other databases, just no the "mysql" database)
18:35 mikemol My problem isn't with the users table, though, but with the .proc table. I don't even know what that table's for.
18:36 Coderjoe i think it is for permissions related to stored procedures
18:37 Coderjoe since you most likely didn't have anything in it, you should be able to just put it back at the default empty table
18:37 Coderjoe (with the correct columns to silence the message)
18:37 mikemol Current problem is trying to figure out how to use the openssl command to decrypt my identity certs I used with openssl. I forgot which passphrase I used, so I need to test a bunch of them. That's a pain to do in a browser.

18:39 Coderjoe i remembered seeing the question there when I looked over their FAQ a couple weeks ago
20:59 mikemol Well, that's convenient. The reason I was having difficulty with the cert? It's expired. :)
21:00 mikemol Which means I just do the whole signup thing from scratch. No worries.
