00:40 Kernigh[RCo] On language pages like http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Category:PHP
00:40 fedaykin "Category:PHP - Rosetta Code"
00:40 Kernigh[RCo] The {{language}} boxes are going underneath the category listing,
00:40 Kernigh[RCo] so there is text on top of text.
00:41 Kernigh[RCo] Did this happen to everyone or only to me? My browser is Firefox 5.0.
00:44 mwn3d_phone Kernigh[RCo]: I'm on a mobile browser and it looks fine
00:44 mwn3d_phone FF is on version 8 now
00:45 mwn3d_phone I think it worked fine back on FF 5 too though
00:47 Kernigh[RCo] I forgot. This computer has more than one browser on it.
00:48 Kernigh[RCo] Page looks ok with Midori 0.3.6, I guess I have some old Firefox problem.
01:14 Kumul just use opera

02:03 Showell[RCo] hi, is Recent changes broken?  I made a change after the upgrade, and it's still there on the page, but Recent changes doesn't show it yet
02:18 Kernigh[RCo] I can see my last change (from a few hours ago) on Recent changes.
02:18 Kernigh[RCo] I have not yet noticed any problems with Recent changes.
02:22 Showell[RCo] oops, never mind, got thrown off by GMT :)
02:35 mikemol PROBABLYSDFASDFASDF|
02:35 mikemol GAH
02:36 mikemol Oh. Weird.
02:36 mikemol The shift key is causing some kind of four-state toggle behavior. That sortof explains my keyboard issues in here.
02:37 mikemol Anyway, the recent changes page might be falling victim to more aggressive caching, or some miscommunication between MW and Squid.
02:37 mikemol I'll look into it.
02:38 mikemol Looks like it'll have to wait until I've got a better SSH interface, though.
03:20 Showell[RCo] sorry, Recent Changes was a false alarm...I didn't notice it was GMT
03:21 Showell[RCo] (my change was today in local time, but it was yesterday from GMT perspective, and I was only looking at "today")
03:25 eMBee oh, you just needed to scroll down then, right? :-)
03:26 Showell[RCo] yep, of course, now that I notice dates are GMT, I am good to go
03:26 eMBee :-)
03:26 eMBee ithink you can set your timezone in preferences
03:27 eMBee if you log in that is
03:29 Showell[RCo] just set it, thanks for the tip

05:32 Coderjoe mikemol: i don't think you were using the LoopFunctions extension, iirc, based on the permissions of the directory (the apache user not having access)

16:02 TransientRespons Uhh... hi?
16:02 sorear Hello!
16:03 TransientRespons Hi there. Kinda new here.
16:03 TransientRespons Anyone else notice issues with MathML in pages?
16:05 TransientRespons Anyone?
16:05 sorear n/a for me
16:06 TransientRespons I'm seeing broken math tags with unformatted contact on pretty much every page, on all my browsers.
16:06 TransientRespons not contact, content
16:06 TransientRespons typo
16:25 opticron erm...

16:39 mwn3d_phone mikemol: I'm working on translating the MCS templates to SMW
16:39 mwn3d_phone The behvaior of "not" in SMW is being weird
16:43 mwn3d_phone Somehow the "not implemented" lists are showing up correctly for draft tasks but not for regular tasks even though I have the same conditions
16:44 mwn3d_phone (Except for the "draft" part of course)
16:51 mwn3d_phone That's the only one I had a problem with
16:51 mwn3d_phone And that's the most important one
16:52 mwn3d_phone The only thing I can think of that might cause this is a category size limit on #ask
17:05 opticron the MCS stuff should be back up and working for the time being
17:05 opticron but that's probably a good direction to go
17:12 mwn3d_phone Well right now it doesn't seem to be working so MCS is the best
17:24 kpreid joined #rosettacode
17:59 mwn3d_phone Upon closer inspection the draft task list isn't working either
18:03 mwn3d_phone So a couple of things: [[Property:Omitted from task]] should be "omitted from language" right?
18:03 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Property:Omitted_from_task
18:03 mwn3d_phone And does the "not" operator in SMW not work on page names (i.e. when the property is of type "page")?
18:42 * opticron knows nothing of SMW
18:43 opticron there's probably a channel on this server for it, though
18:43 Coderjoe there is, but I forget what it is
18:44 Coderjoe I've idled there before, but didn't have it in my autojoins
19:42 mikemol mwn3d_phone: It depends on how you think of it.
19:42 mikemol Are you omitting a language from a task, or are you omitting a task from a language?
19:43 mikemol Though I suspect you're right; it should be [[Property:Omitted from Language]], if you're feeding a language as a parameter.
19:43 fedaykin http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Property:Omitted_from_Language (Doesn't exist.)
19:48 mwn3d_phone Yeah I think no matter which way you think of it you get the same meaning pretty much
19:49 mwn3d_phone But the way people have used it I think it should be changed
19:51 mwn3d_phone The easiest way would be to create the new property and then change the one used in the "omit from" template
19:51 mwn3d_phone We should probably wait until after the workday for that though
19:52 mwn3d_phone Updating a widely-used template is kind of intense
19:53 Coderjoe ooh
19:53 Coderjoe fire alarm at padnos
19:53 Coderjoe and I love listening to car alternator noise
19:53 Coderjoe channel
19:53 mikemol mwn3d_phone: Meh. It won't harm the server any.
19:54 mikemol It'll take less than an hour for a runJobs.php to complete after the edit.
19:54 mikemol Which reminds me...I need to throw that in cron.
19:54 opticron Coderjoe, you mean that wonderful high pitched whine?
19:54 opticron that varies with engine speed :)
19:54 Coderjoe yes
19:54 opticron you need a better ground connection
19:54 opticron iirc
19:57 Coderjoe opticron: I was listening to someone that was keyed up on a mobile radio transmitting nothing but alternator whine for 30 seconds
19:59 opticron gah
20:03 mwn3d_phone Hmmm....it doesn't show up in the property list yet.
20:03 mwn3d_phone Maybe something has to use it?
20:05 mwn3d_phone Yep that's it. Ok hold onto your butts. I'm gonna change the omit from template.
20:07 mwn3d_phone Hmm...can't find the work queue size anymore
21:04 Kumul joined #rosettacode
21:41 mikemol mwn3d_phone: I ran the runJobs.php script...nothing to do.
21:49 mwn3d_phone mikemol: it looks like its still changing tasks over from the old property. SMW properties must not be part of that queue.
21:50 mwn3d_phone The regular MW template changes probably finished earlier
21:56 mischi joined #rosettacode
21:57 mikemol mwn3d_phone: They are; if I do a complete rebuild of the semantic properties, you see a bunch of 'SMWJobs' in that queue.
21:58 mwn3d_phone I dunno then
21:58 mwn3d_phone All I know is that its still going
22:58 mikemol mwn3d_phone: One potential cause...because of how I configured apache, Squid is doing a much, much, much, much better job intercepting GET requests and successfully returning cached copies.
23:09 mwn3d_phone joined #rosettacode

23:46 mikemol Out of 1000 queries, squid had 861 cache hits and 82 cache misses.
23:47 sorear and the other 57 were...?
23:47 mikemol 26 TCP_REFRESH_UNMODIFIED events
23:48 mikemol 31 TCP_REFRESH_MODIFIED events.
23:48 mischi joined #rosettacode
23:48 * sorear wonders why ey gets +O and mikemol only gets +V in chanserv
23:49 mikemol Because my IRC client isn't properly identifying me to NickServ.
23:49 mikemol So, anyway, out of those 1,000 queries, MediaWiki didn't even get a chance to hear about 13.9% of them.
23:49 mikemol er.
23:49 mikemol Yeah.
23:50 sorear don't you mean >86%?
23:50 * mikemol sighs
23:50 mikemol MediaWiki only *heard* about 13.9% of them.
23:51 * mikemol is really out of it today.
23:51 sorear does MW see TCP_REFRESH_{UN,}MODIFIED?
23:51 mikemol Not sure why. Vacation today, but I've been cleaning the apartment pretty much all day.
23:51 mikemol I believe so.
23:51 mikemol Gah!
23:51 mikemol I did screw up my math.
23:52 mikemol MW should see TCP_REFRESH_* queries (if they were originally destined for MW, anyway), as they're Squid double-checking whether or not its cached copy is clean.
