12:38 axtens Okay, let's get some opinions here.
12:39 axtens What do I do with Harbour and Clipper entries, combine them or keep them separate?
12:39 axtens Sometimes they are the same and sometimes they're different and occasionally what you can do in Harbour you can't do in Clipper
12:39 axtens Harbour is a superset of Clipper
12:40 axtens What we *could* do is subsume everything under an xBase label
12:40 axtens then at least something will be able to solve the task.
12:41 axtens What bothers me is that if I combine Harbour with Clipper and it's only the Harbour that's solving the task, someone reading the list of implementation languages might get the impression that Clipper can do the job when only the Harbour implementation can
12:43 ttmrichter I like the idea of putting it all under XBase.
12:43 axtens Right now we've got a few tasks where Clipper has an entry and Harbour also has an entry and the Harbour is an exact copy of the Clipper.
12:44 axtens That certainly appeals to me, but I'm not the only Clipper/Harbour contributor
12:45 axtens Alkresin being the other, according to http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Category:Harbour_User
12:46 ttmrichter axtens: That's where writing comes in.
12:46 ttmrichter You show the code and you carefully point out that only Harbour can do it (or whatever).
12:46 ttmrichter The Prolog community has to deal with this all the time.
12:46 ttmrichter X works in SWI, Y works in Amzi, Z works in YAP, etc.
12:52 axtens Ok I've just 'talk'ed the other stake holder, asking if he's okay with an XBase categorisation
12:53 axtens Thanks for your input, Michael
12:55 ttmrichter No troubles.
12:55 ttmrichter Keep in mind that my opinion is non-definitive.  I'm not staff.  Just a fan.
12:55 ttmrichter :)
13:03 axtens that's taken as a given. ;-) Thankfulness is a good habit to develop and maintain in any case

21:18 tachyonie hello
21:18 tachyonie i wanna ask you a question
21:19 tachyonie is rebol a good programming languge to learn?
21:53 eMBee tachyonie: i have no idea, but a friend of mine is into rebol
22:08 tachyonie ok
22:09 tachyonie so isuppose your friend is smart :p ?
22:09 tachyonie what do you think of your friend?
22:09 tachyonie i mean generally
22:09 tachyonie i just was having supper and my molar broke...
22:09 tachyonie i couldn't finish eating
22:09 tachyonie kind of upset
22:11 tachyonie i mean smart people do make programming languages hehehe
22:35 eMBee yeah, he is getting involved in red, which is a repol implementation
22:36 eMBee erm, rebol
23:06 eMBee oh, i was wrong, red is not a rebol implementation, but based on rebol
23:07 eMBee so my friend would say: learn red :-)
23:14 tachyonie yep
23:14 tachyonie thanks
23:14 tachyonie do you like lectures podcasts and so ?
