06:20 Hypftier kuzetsa: Another option is when the author of a code snippet makes it available under another license (I do that for everything I did on RC, but that mostly includes batch files and PowerShell).
06:46 eMBee yeah, i do that too. all my rc contributions are at least GPL

14:53 kuzetsa Hypftier, eMBee: heh -- you responded after I had gone to bed, thanks.
14:55 kuzetsa There's no longer any similarity to the code. I had to implement a rather elaborate moving algorithm involving binary search to insert the new values into the array such that it was doing an incremental in-place sort, and use a second array (a queue / buffer) to keep track of the FIFO so the old values could be expired out in the correct order.
14:55 kuzetsa * "moving median" (algorithm...)
14:57 kuzetsa ... sadly, I might've been able to use a different way of doing this if javascript had pointers, but it doesn't so there's a few things I had to workaround.
