21:50 SrRaven Hi there, anyone here and available for some dumb questions?
22:17 opticron SrRaven, most of us are lurkers, so ask away
22:17 opticron and very few questions are actually dumb
22:19 SrRaven alright, im a CS student and for a class this semester I have to visualize an algorithm. The software (and an example) can be found at sourceforge.net/p/animal-av/ I am currently looking for suggestions on which algorithms to do, as many have already been taken so im kinda looking for hidden gems
22:20 fedaykin "Animal-AV | SourceForge.net"
22:20 SrRaven Atm, I am considering Bogosort with < 4 variables and MD5
22:36 SrRaven opticron: speechless :D ?
22:37 opticron ah, I didn't say I'd respond :)
22:37 opticron but
22:37 * opticron reads

22:40 opticron ah, by taken you mean taken in your class
22:40 SrRaven yes
22:41 SrRaven if you download the java file, you could see a list of the examples, sadly no proper list has ever been "wiki-fied"
22:45 opticron hmm...matrix operations or regex could be interesting
22:46 SrRaven hmm, any specific recommendations?
22:49 opticron for matrix operations, calculating eigenvectors and eigenvalues are on the simpler side
22:49 opticron for regex, backtracking could be good
22:50 SrRaven mmh, not a fan of math in code
22:51 SrRaven but I dont think those have been done yet.
22:52 opticron resistor network?
22:52 opticron (if you're interested in EE at all)
22:53 SrRaven havent heard of it, is it really an algorithm though
22:55 opticron it's more a method for simplifying a resistor mesh down to a single value, but yes
22:55 SrRaven could you kindly link me a wiki article or something ? Im no EE guy and googling gives me funky results
22:58 opticron http://rosettacode.org/wiki/Resistor_mesh
22:58 fedaykin "Resistor mesh - Rosetta Code"
22:58 SrRaven so it is that one
22:59 SrRaven I imagined it doing something else
23:01 SrRaven i wonder how that could really be done though
23:01 SrRaven id either have to visually be able to set A and B
23:01 SrRaven or nr each node and let the user chose
