18:36 raspado hi all, im pulling a specific version in https://repo.saltstack.com/yum/redhat/salt-repo-2016.3-1.el7.noarch.rpm
18:36 raspado will that version always be in the repo or would it change?
18:37 raspado the version I am pulling is 2016.3.4-1.el7.noarc
18:38 raspado if the version I  pull eventually will be removed, I need to copy the binaries for my specific version to our in house repo
18:42 iggy you should mirror them yourself
18:43 iggy I don't know what they use for the RH repo's, but the tool they use for the deb mirrors only supports one version, so every release wipes all the previous versions
18:49 raspado ahhhhh ok
18:49 raspado thx iggy

19:35 iggy IdoKaplan: == 1 ?
19:35 iggy length should return an int, not a string
19:37 IdoKaplan iggy: so what should be the operator?

19:44 setkeh Hi guys, i have setup some pillar data up in my state files (in /srv/pillar) but when i run salt '*' pillar.items after salt '*' saltutil.refresh_pillar i still get no return and this is causing some jinja errors as well  https://github.com/setkeh/salt
19:45 hemebond setkeh: You've configured pillar_roots in your master config?
19:45 iggy setkeh: that's not a lot to go on
19:46 iggy actually, there was a lot there, I think it's just wrong
19:46 iggy pillar data shouldn't be inside your states dir
19:46 iggy (then it's not exactly private anymore)
19:49 setkeh hemebond: yeah i uncommented the defaults that point to /srv/pillar
19:49 hemebond setkeh: But your pillar data is in /srv/salt/pillar/?
19:49 setkeh iggy: that makes sense ill restructure the repo so it has a states/ and a pillar/ directory :)

21:32 hemebond setkeh: Your "forward" property is a list, not a dict.
21:32 hemebond *pillar property
21:32 hemebond You seem to be trying to use it as a dict.
21:32 hemebond "Jinja variable 'list object' has no attribute 'interface'"
21:34 Edulogardo joined #salt
21:34 setkeh that peice of code is borrowed from https://github.com/brutasse/states/tree/master/iptables
21:34 hemebond setkeh: Look at their pillar data at the very bottom of that link.
21:34 hemebond Notice that "forward" is a dict, not a list.
21:34 hemebond In YAML, "-" makes a list item.
