14:39 mtj the other opengl gotcha is, its really difficult to build for each platform
14:39 mtj and every platform's opengl build is quite unique
14:40 mtj so, my little app now runs really fast with opengl  on my OSX lappy (good)
14:41 mtj ..but it now SEGFAULTS on my win-xp and linux VMs (bad) :/
