17:12 Getty \o/
17:13 kthakore HI Getty
17:13 kthakore hi garu FROGGS
17:15 kthakore Getty: HOw the heck is it crowded in here?
17:16 Getty for a perl channel?!?!?!
17:16 Getty i think thats crowded in my eyes
17:16 Getty i never said ACTIVE
17:16 Getty ;)
17:16 Getty i said crowded
17:18 kthakore haha yeah
17:18 kthakore true
17:29 basiliscos joined #sdl
18:52 FROGGS dang
18:52 FROGGS hi kthakore
18:52 Getty lol want him back? ;)
18:53 FROGGS sort of :o)
18:53 Getty haha
18:53 Getty i will tell him that you said that
18:53 FROGGS he can backlog :o)
18:53 Getty its mibbit
18:53 Getty what he used
18:54 FROGGS the channel is logged still
19:02 Getty i have never read any log of channel without it being found by google ;) hehe
19:08 FROGGS O.o
19:09 Getty i mean of any channel ;)
19:09 FROGGS okay, I am used read logs...
19:09 FROGGS to *
19:09 Getty IRC is for me like a bar somehow
19:09 Getty things are said and gone, its in the stream
19:09 Getty you might can rely a bit on people highlighting you so that they see it later, but in the end.... its just a bar ;)
19:10 FROGGS okay, this might describe like 95% of the channels...
19:10 FROGGS not so #perl6, where design decisions get discussed in detail
19:11 Getty yeah i saw that they often reference to that
19:11 Getty but in the end the better version should be have all peoples feedback not chose awake in that moment hehe
19:11 FROGGS and when you wanna know what the other peeps are up to, you basically have to read everything
19:11 Getty yeah, chaos ;)
19:11 Getty LIVING ORGANISM!
19:11 FROGGS :o)
19:12 Getty i would say "it can speed up the process" but saying that in the context of perl6 would be just ...... you know ;)
19:14 FROGGS *g*
19:15 FROGGS well, I think we can agree that the way IRC is/was used is not the cause of the years it takes already
19:18 Getty yeah still its so dominating topic that saying anything about "speed up" sounds ... awkward ;)
19:19 FROGGS I do not talk about speed ups, I talk about reading backlog to know what others are up to
19:19 Getty i am joking around dude ;)
19:20 Getty in a good environment you know what they are up to by fingering their account ;)
19:20 Getty just saying ;)
19:20 * Getty runs
19:20 FROGGS *g*
19:20 Getty am i right or am i right? ;-)
19:21 FROGGS maybe :o)
19:21 FROGGS I just can say that I know more about the peeps in #perl6 as the guys at $work I am supposed to work with
19:22 Getty i had that in #debian.de at the time it was cool
19:22 Getty at some point it all gets less cool and the things are chnaging around
19:22 Getty every 5-10 years ;)
19:23 FROGGS sure
19:24 FROGGS then you go and search for another interesting project to contribute to
19:25 Getty its more like the complete "communication channel" falls apart normally
19:25 Getty so not the project itself, more like that even if you want to keep using the irc, you will not have much link to the project, it just rotates somehow
19:27 FROGGS for this channel there was nobody to talk to at some point... so I walked away
19:31 Getty and now its fully crowded
19:31 Getty lots of demand
19:31 FROGGS I don't think so

19:50 kthakore and then company(ies) got busy
19:50 kthakore now I poor
19:50 kthakore but I still around!
19:50 Getty \o/

22:12 mrhorner kthakore doing well thank you.  my sdl will not respond to keyboard events it seems.  I also have a screen capture of one of the wierdest forking perl installs of Alien::SDL here http://dave.thehorners.com/tech-talk/programming/532-perl-troubleshooting-and-debugging-hanging-camels
22:12 mrhorner not sure what caused it; as when i reinstalled using option 2 it installed fine
