12:58 pdpi Hey folks. I’m having an issue with Shib SP where the signing/encryption keys (declared in a <CredentialResolver />) don’t show up in my SP metadata. Any clues as to why?
13:15 pdurbin pdpi: huh. it used to work? what changed?
13:16 pdpi Oh, I’m pretty sure that it’s something *I* am doing wrong. I’m just not sure what it is, or where to look. As I said: have a <CredentialResolver/>, and, because shibd complained about file permissions before I fixed those, and reasonably certain it points at the right files.
13:17 pdpi I also have the attributes for signing=“true” encryption=“true” in my <ApplicationDefaults >
13:20 pdurbin maybe there's something in some logs
13:26 pdpi thanks. Looks like I managed to give shib mismatched key/cert.
13:35 pdurbin ah
13:35 pdurbin "Libraries were the biggest consumers of Shibboleth originally. They don't want to know who you are until you forget to bring back a book."
13:35 pdurbin that's not a direct quote but something I heard yesterday
13:35 pdurbin there seems to be a real emphasis on privacy with shibboleth
13:35 pdurbin which I guess is a good thing

15:21 mckeanbs Only thing I'm concerned about is that by default in Shib 3, it asks end users to allow attribute release.
15:21 mckeanbs While I'm personally ok with that, helpdesk is horrified with the concept of leaving that enabled
