12:50 misilot joined ##shibboleth
14:58 misilot hmm I added more attributes to attribute-resolver.xml and made sure to add them to attribute-filter.xml but the SP isn't seeing them as available from what I can tell.
15:51 misilot so I figured out where the attributes were getting eatten. I thought I read somewhere that idp.attribute.resolver.LDAP.returnAttributes isn't being used "yet" or something, but apparently it is
16:20 misilot Question if anyone is around, Do I put my SP information in the metadata-providers.xml or the relying-party.xml? If it is in the relying-party file, does anyone have an example of what I should put in there?
16:28 misilot pdurbin: I asked about a tool for shibboleth sp registration and such. I came across this (https://github.com/ausaccessfed/federationregistry) haven't looked at it too much but it looks interesting
17:00 pdurbin misilot: interesting. I passed it along.
17:05 pdurbin misilot: if you mean stuff like the hostname of your SP, I update /etc/shibboleth/shibboleth2.xml to include it: http://guides.dataverse.org/en/4.2.4/installation/shibboleth.html#shibboleth2-xml
17:13 misilot pdurbin: I guess what I am trying to figure out is where do I actually specify the "Service Name" persay, that is used in the login.vm file. "## rpUIContext - the context with SP UI information from the metadata
17:13 misilot " it references a $rpUIContext.serviceName
17:18 pdurbin buh. dunno. I'm talking about your SP's entityID
19:29 misilot pdurbin: found what I was talking about: https://wiki.surfnet.nl/display/surfconextdev/My+First+SP+-+Shibboleth and if you search for mdui:DisplayName xml:lang="en" that is the part I was trying to figure out
19:32 pdurbin ooh, yes. the DisplayNames at https://demo.dataverse.org/Shibboleth.sso/DiscoFeed
19:32 pdurbin but for an SP rather than an IdP, I guess
19:37 misilot it is the Login to "Service Name" and I can specify a service logo and get an icon to show up
19:51 pdurbin right. I use this to get the icons: https://shibboleth.net/products/embedded-discovery-service.html
20:02 misilot ah i thought the EDS was for mutliple IdP's
21:34 pdurbin oh. it is
21:35 pdurbin but we just always use it. even if there's only one
