14:25 whatamidoing hi all. quick question maybe someone can help me with as i'm not all that familiar with shibboleth. i've created a custom attribute but one thing i'm unclear on is what urn:oid i should use for it. anyone know custom attributes are handled?
14:38 pdurbin OIDs are listed here if that helps: https://www.iana.org/assignments/enterprise-numbers/enterprise-numbers
14:39 pdurbin it's been 10 years since I worked at Berklee... always cracks me up that I'm still listed as the contact :)
14:49 mckeanbs whatamidoing, this is what I use for that: https://www.incommon.org/federation/attributesummary.html
15:13 whatamidoing Thanks pbdurbin and mckeanbs. Since the attribute I created isn't on either of those pages (since it's a unique attribute for us) I'm not quite sure what I'd use. Does an attribute NEED an OID?
15:13 whatamidoing For example, would something like this work:
15:13 whatamidoing <resolver:AttributeEncoder xsi:type="SAML2String" name="SomeAttribute" xmlns="urn:mace:shibboleth:2.0:attribute:encoder" friendlyName="SomeAttribute" />
15:15 mckeanbs Hmm, that one I'm not sure on it
16:03 pdurbin dunno
16:03 pdurbin whatamidoing: I'd suggest emailing the shib list
16:09 pdurbin bricas cyberlard discopatrick dstanek misilot whatamidoing: if you see your institution at https://beta.dataverse.org/loginpage.xhtml can you please try logging in?
16:48 whatamidoing Thanks
