00:04 * AZDR_away is away: Gone away for now
00:06 tonsofpcs wannabe1987: no, I was not.
00:06 tonsofpcs I am now, however
00:07 wannabe1987 was wondering if you have ever made alfredo sauce
00:15 tonsofpcs yes
00:15 tonsofpcs not in a while.  I should...
00:15 * AZDR_away is away: Gone away for now
00:15 AZDR_away is now known as AZDesertRose
00:15 * AZDesertRose is back.
00:18 * wannabe1987 is in charge of making a calandar full of geekiness for tgg
00:18 wannabe1987 what recipe do you use for alfredo sauce
00:24 wannabe1987 tag me in it...
00:26 tggmc hey all I have a new obscure device if you want to help me find information on it
00:26 tggmc 2 actually
00:26 tggmc a Dubner 5-K and a Dubner 20-K
00:29 tonsofpcs wait
00:29 tonsofpcs you have two turbopainters?!?!?!
00:29 tonsofpcs do you have the tablets for them, tggmc?
00:29 tggmc can't find them yet
00:29 tonsofpcs wannabe1987: uh... cheese + butter + stovetop? :)
00:29 tggmc we technically have 2 5k's but one is ...customized in some weird way
00:29 tonsofpcs tggmc: they'd be freakin huge resistive tablets (maybe early inductives), most likely
00:30 tggmc they are interesting units
00:30 tonsofpcs note: I was just browsing turbopainters for a compltely different reason :-p
00:30 tggmc they do not say turbopainter anywhere
00:30 tggmc one is setup as a bug gen with it's disk
00:30 tggmc it has the CBS logo in it though
00:30 tonsofpcs hmm...
00:30 tonsofpcs maybe the Ks are different from the turbopainters
00:31 wannabe1987 left #thegeekgroup
00:31 tonsofpcs dubner made a bunch of devices that could capture and mmanipulate video/frames and then draw on them.  The most famous is the turbopainter (can do 'filmstrips'), but there are others
00:31 tggmc oddly enough though
00:31 tggmc our 5k
00:31 tggmc is an
00:31 tggmc 'upgraded 4k'
00:31 tonsofpcs heh
00:31 wannabe1987 joined #thegeekgroup
00:32 tonsofpcs hmm, it seems the 5-K is branded as a "Character Generator"
00:32 tggmc it's got a real motorola 68k in it though
00:32 tonsofpcs maybe it is a simple title system...
00:32 tggmc what's the 20k labeled as?
00:32 tggmc I
00:32 tonsofpcs does it have a keyboard port?
00:32 tggmc it has 3 female DB9's and I am using a keyboard with it
00:32 tggmc it has a special weird keyboard
00:32 tggmc with a male DB9 and power going to it
00:33 tonsofpcs they all use old terminal keyboards iirc
00:33 tggmc I don't think I have the right keyboard though
00:33 tonsofpcs (or actual terminal emulators)
00:33 tggmc as things are not labeled right
00:33 tggmc this might be the keyboard for the 20K
00:33 tonsofpcs the one we had with our turbopainter where I used to work was a ribbon w/ RJ at the keyboard, DB9 at the system, set to VT100 emulation mode iirc
00:33 tggmc the media the 20K needs scares me
00:33 tggmc I haven't found one yet
00:34 tggmc http://www.tbfcomputing.com/ebaypicture/2009/5.02.11CS101_1074.JPG
00:34 tonsofpcs the 20k has an OPTICAL 5.25" floppy drive from what I read
00:34 AZDesertRose Bailing out.  Talk to y'all later.
00:34 AZDesertRose left #thegeekgroup
00:34 tonsofpcs the turbopainter we had used "bernouli box" disks
00:34 tonsofpcs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iomega_Bernoulli_Box
00:35 tggmc ooooh if it's bernoulli we do have it!
00:35 tggmc yay
00:35 tonsofpcs heh
00:35 tonsofpcs idk if that's the same as what you have
00:35 tonsofpcs that's what ours used though
00:35 tggmc also the 20k has a scsi port
00:35 tonsofpcs huge freakin things
00:35 tggmc the OS looks scary though
00:36 tonsofpcs the 20K appears to be a CG
00:36 tonsofpcs the OS was ... interesting iirc
00:36 tonsofpcs not so much an OS as a line-based interface
00:36 tggmc oh tonsofpcs did you see our bars yet?
00:36 tonsofpcs more like interpreted BASIC than DOS
00:37 tonsofpcs no, should I load the stream?
00:37 tggmc yeah go ahead
00:37 tggmc hehehe
00:37 tonsofpcs *loads*
00:37 tggmc *presses take
00:37 tonsofpcs ah, you found a real bargen?
00:37 tggmc yep
00:38 tggmc oh and look
00:38 tonsofpcs looks like the bargen I had at school
00:38 tonsofpcs it's in ad, wait a bit
00:38 tggmc it generates tone too lol
00:38 tonsofpcs yea, most bar gens do
00:38 tggmc but I haven't patched it yet
00:38 tonsofpcs they're the "house" reference fro audio and video
00:38 tggmc yeah I knew you'd be happy
00:38 tonsofpcs if you need to recalibrate a system, you send your bargen out for master calibration, get it back, then reference EVERYTHING to it.
00:39 tggmc let me know when you are through with the ad
00:39 tonsofpcs most bargens have blackburst gens in too
00:39 tonsofpcs i am
00:39 tonsofpcs what make/model is this bargen?
00:39 tggmc it's a QSI CB-2440
00:39 tggmc oh and the 16001LL is back online
00:39 tggmc :)
00:39 tonsofpcs :D
00:39 tonsofpcs can you show me the front panel of the bargen?
00:40 tggmc and it has the best black burst signal too
00:40 tggmc it's difficult
00:40 BotSteve In the last hour, there have been 1 new YouTube videos posted by PhysicsDuck.  New videos:
00:40 BotSteve Captain's Blog 7-24-11 550-Four Gaskets and Supply Sorting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TAcoIfPcD8
00:40 tggmc I have the bargen underneath the patch pannel where one of the genlock units was
00:40 tggmc so I can't show you easily
00:41 tonsofpcs take a pic on cellphone and upload?
00:41 tggmc http://www.qsisystems.com/
00:41 tggmc like I said
00:41 tggmc it's DARK
00:41 tggmc and I have a ton of cabling in front of it
00:41 tggmc it will do 40 messages though
00:41 tonsofpcs yea, their websites are dead
00:41 tonsofpcs is it a blue button and a red button on front?
00:42 tggmc no
00:43 tonsofpcs have you found a TC gen too? (or can that box do it?)
00:44 tggmc Genlock/internal, SC freq pot, SC Phase pot, H phase pot,  Tone on L, Tone on R, a display with 4 lights and a number readout, ID up/down, Cursor up/down, Char up/down, Load, End, and a program/run button
00:44 tggmc and power of course
00:45 tggmc no it does not do tc
00:45 tggmc but... we have something that might
00:45 tggmc well could possibl
00:45 tggmc y
00:46 tggmc Mark of the Unicorn MTPAV
00:46 tggmc ^ @ tonsofpcs
00:46 tggmc also tonsofpcs we need to know how to make a 'BMK' file (which is described as a BMP file combined with a alpha key) for our QSI 908 Image Inserter which is now working
00:48 exor674 things still use BMP format oO
00:48 exor674 or is that an old box?
00:48 tggmc 2004 isn't that old
00:48 tggmc old would be our dubner 5K
00:48 tonsofpcs tggmc: interesting....
00:48 tggmc which was built in '86 and has an os from '88 and was used until May 2004
00:49 tonsofpcs is it a 32bit BMP? or do you have any specs? maybe it's just 256 pallette w/ the first or last in the index as transparent (like PCX ttransparancy)
00:49 tonsofpcs (heck, it might just be a straight PCX)
00:49 * tonsofpcs remembers systems that used "bitmaps" that really took PCX but couldn't say that due to some patent thing
00:50 tonsofpcs tggmc: dubner made some awesome systems.
00:51 * tonsofpcs remembers some guy on sesame street as a guest back in the 90s who would paint animations w/ a turbopainter
00:51 tonsofpcs (at least, i think it was seasame st)
00:52 tonsofpcs tggmc: so, SMPTE bars only or can it generate red bars or full field colors or white box or anything else?
00:53 tggmc I do not have any information lol
00:53 tggmc all I know is what I have lol
00:53 tonsofpcs right, it would be something you could change blatently from the front panel if it did
00:54 tggmc http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=3&sqi=2&ved=0CCQQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.broadcaststore.com%2Fpdf%2Fmodel%2F13775%2F908.pdf&rct=j&q=QSI%20image%20inserter%20908%20pdf&ei=qL4sTrLcGseDsAKmyJ3ICw&usg=AFQjCNGl2SCQE5Bg_C9qjFtf7kNeLk9Z3A&cad=rja
00:54 tggmc whoop
00:54 tonsofpcs like, the one i had at the student station had a 'mode'  button
00:54 tonsofpcs *clicks*
00:54 tggmc anyway
00:54 tonsofpcs the gen questio was about the bargen not the pic insert
00:54 tonsofpcs but i'll read that :)
00:54 tggmc that is our QSI 908
00:55 tggmc I do not have one for our bargen
00:55 tggmc been looking for one
00:55 tonsofpcs "8 bit paletted image files"
00:55 tggmc but that was to answer your questions about the bmk file
00:55 tggmc all I know is what is on that sheet
00:55 tonsofpcs w/ 256 levels per pixel
00:55 tggmc there is no more documentation and I emailed the guy on that page a week ago
00:56 tggmc phone number keeps ringing on that page too
00:56 tonsofpcs do you have any existing BMK files?
00:56 tggmc been looking
00:56 tggmc but I haven't found any
00:57 tonsofpcs I would first try creating a 256 color (palettized) BMP, naming it tto BMK, and see if it loads it and spits it out the output (it likely won't key)
00:58 tonsofpcs I'm guessing that "BMK" is likely two bitmaps literally in series, either in one RIFF container or concatenated post-RIFF.
00:58 tonsofpcs I wonder if any of my old amiga software or any of my crazy windows software can make that format....
01:01 tonsofpcs do you know if it opens a FAT12 filesystem?
01:02 tonsofpcs does the phone # on the site match the # on that doc?
01:02 tggmc I didn't see one on the website
01:03 tggmc I called the number on the document
01:03 tonsofpcs ah, ok
01:04 tggmc oh want to see the gvg for a sec
01:04 tggmc I had to unwire it's inputs for testing though
01:05 tonsofpcs nah, I trust it works (although you may need to tweak the circle on it -- usually happens to analog sw'rs over time)
01:05 tonsofpcs (do a circle wipe halfway between two solid colors, look at the output, should be circular not elliptical)
01:05 angy left #thegeekgroup
01:06 tggmc ours is circular
01:06 tggmc but we pulled it to work on the genlock issue
01:06 tonsofpcs (like, you measure with a ruler on a well-scanned monitor)
01:06 tggmc I don't think you have been around to see the gvg in action
01:06 tonsofpcs same phone # on DNS contact as that doc
01:06 tonsofpcs there's an address and email if you want to try those...

02:24 tonsofpcs Cprossu_Netbook: ya?
02:24 Cprossu_Netbook what do I need to patch an EAS system in? ^_^
02:24 tonsofpcs Cprossu_Netbook: what do you have?
02:24 Cprossu_Netbook I've got a Chryon codi EAS system
02:25 tonsofpcs what color?
02:25 Cprossu_Netbook black
02:25 tonsofpcs nioce!!!!!!!!
02:25 tonsofpcs the "EAS CODi" is a PCCODi in a box!
02:25 tonsofpcs it just has a serial port to take serial data from an EAS encdec (you probably dfon't have) to a crawl.  But iirc it is 100% full featured
02:26 Cprossu_Netbook we probably do have one
02:26 tonsofpcs you just need to get CODi software.... not sure if Lyric can control codi
02:26 Cprossu_Netbook let me go look @ tonsofpcs
02:26 tonsofpcs no one is throwing them out until september -- then the market will be flooded
02:26 tonsofpcs it'd either be a Sage or TFT or maybe a gorman-reidlich
02:26 tonsofpcs it would have a receipt printer built in
02:26 tonsofpcs be about 2 or 3 RU
02:27 tonsofpcs sages are grey/black/blueish (one not all three), TFTs are black...
02:28 Seroster left #thegeekgroup
02:28 Cprossu_Netbook we also have a chryon codi too

02:30 tonsofpcs i think that's a network closure/teletext decoder
02:30 tonsofpcs like, a full PC CODi?
02:30 tonsofpcs PC w/ card in it?
02:30 Cprossu_Netbook it is a 1u codi
02:30 Cprossu_Netbook both are 1u

02:32 tonsofpcs ftp://ftp.chyron.com/pub/software/CODI/DigiBoxCODI/ is designed for the DigiBox CODI (blue, SDI) btu might work on the black ones...
02:33 tonsofpcs otherwise, pcscribe from .. of that last one might work....
02:33 Cprossu_Netbook looks like it's serial controlled tonsofpcs
02:33 tonsofpcs right.
02:33 tonsofpcs the 1RU codis are just PCI or ISA cards (I think they're all PCI but some might be ISA, I suppose) in a 1RU box
02:33 tonsofpcs they're designed to have stuff loaded into them and then be remotely controlled, mostly for EAS crawls
02:33 tonsofpcs the CODI is capable of handling graphics though.
02:34 tonsofpcs like, you can take it out and stick it into a PC

02:41 Cprossu_Netbook not the EAS one
02:41 tonsofpcs note: you can do everything over 232 (in theory)

02:43 Cprossu_Netbook lol you'll have to take it apart yourself to verify that
02:43 tonsofpcs no thanks, it's in my air chain.
02:44 tonsofpcs i would try some of the software from the FTP with the ones you have
02:44 Cprossu_Netbook air chain shmair chain
02:44 tonsofpcs also, it's kinda illegal to disable EAS on purpose without a good reason
02:44 Cprossu_Netbook lol
02:44 tonsofpcs (and a bad service for the community)
02:44 Cprossu_Netbook so would any of those 2 boxes I listed be able to do EAS?
02:44 tonsofpcs those are just CGs
02:45 Cprossu_Netbook even the cbs one?
02:45 Cprossu_Netbook why do they have printer ports?
02:45 tonsofpcs to 'do' eas, you need radio receivers, then those feed an EAS encoder/decoder which decodes the message and airs it (either automatically or with human intervention).  The audio part is often inserted directly by the box but may be by an external inserter.  The video portion is keyed by the CG (the CODI in this case)
02:46 tonsofpcs those 'network decoders' are for getting information from the network like a teletype that says "BREAKING NEWS -- CBS NATIONAL FEED WILL MOVE TO PRESIDENT BRIEFING AT 0923.  WILL REJOIN REGULAR PROGRAMMING AT 1027" stuff like that
02:46 tonsofpcs (or they're even more simple and literally decode a tone into a relay closure)
02:46 Cprossu_Netbook are you sure?
02:47 tonsofpcs not 100%, but they're not EAS boxen.
02:47 tonsofpcs (at least, the CBS one isn't)
02:47 Cprossu_Netbook ok that makes sense
02:48 Cprossu_Netbook it *goes looking for another one*
02:48 producerbill joined #thegeekgroup
02:48 tonsofpcs we have that built into the receivers for radio nowadays.  For TV, we don't use closures or teletype so I've never dealt with those decoders other than to see them in mass equipment sales from when stuff gets torn out (online)
02:49 producerbill ok
02:50 producerbill I would like to find some cheep wideband receivers

02:57 egrsteve hmm

02:57 tonsofpcs many are FM
02:57 egrsteve I would say good luck
02:57 producerbill I think the bandwidth is something like 25khz
02:57 tonsofpcs also, 780 is illegal these days iirc
02:58 egrsteve wireless mics use tons of propritry compression and an odd deviation as well
02:58 producerbill I don't. know
02:58 tonsofpcs yea, what egrsteve said
02:58 egrsteve to keep there badwidth narrow
02:58 tonsofpcs i mean, do you want to listen or do you want a broadcast quality rx?

05:35 Katemonster it's just fun to play on
05:36 speedrunnerG55 Oh -_-
05:37 Thermoelectric Three phase is confusing. :/
05:38 speedrunnerG55 Three phase is just ... 3 phases off angle by...120 degress
05:39 Thermoelectric I get that much, just how it's wired up to single phase and three phase consumers...
05:39 Thermoelectric That's the part I don't get.
05:39 speedrunnerG55 Wouldnt you just use one of the phases?
05:39 speedrunnerG55 Hot and neutral
05:40 Thermoelectric From what I can see on the power poles over here, it *looks* like households are connected on two of the phases, and the neutral is left untouched...
05:40 speedrunnerG55 Im not an electritian. But my electronics xlass touched on star and delta transformers
05:41 speedrunnerG55 Neutral untouched?!
05:41 Thermoelectric Well, that's what it looks like.
05:42 speedrunnerG55 Ok
05:43 Thermoelectric Actually, there may be one tap on the neutral line of this pole. Can't see where it ends up though.
05:43 speedrunnerG55 I wonder. What type of transformer is it
05:43 speedrunnerG55 Star or delta
05:44 speedrunnerG55 Probably delta
05:44 speedrunnerG55 Idk
05:45 Thermoelectric Which one looks like a triangle?
05:45 masterofmonks Delta
05:45 Thermoelectric (the connection of the windings)
05:45 Thermoelectric Ah, so it's star.
05:46 masterofmonks oh, wait.
05:46 masterofmonks I completely missed part of that.
05:46 masterofmonks I thought you were talking about Δ
05:47 speedrunnerG55 Ughh.....
05:47 speedrunnerG55 Wouldnt that be the same tho?
05:47 Thermoelectric This is why it confuses me...
05:48 masterofmonks Ok, that is the Delta symbol
05:48 masterofmonks I have no idea how that relates to a transformer.

19:11 Seroster xD
19:11 Seroster Yeah

19:12 Seroster If you live in france at least! =D
19:12 Seroster Indeed
19:13 Seroster I can't complain TOO much if it's a 11year old, but if you are in your teens and can't tell the difference of "you're" and "your"...

19:15 masterofmonks Bah, anyone who says they "like chinese food" I challenge them to eat one of these.
19:15 masterofmonks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_egg
19:16 Seroster "is a northern Swedish dish consisting of fermented Baltic herring. Surstrmming is sold in cans, which often bulge during shipping and storage, due to the continued fermentation. When opened, the contents release a strong and sometimes overwhelming odour, which explains why the dish is often eaten outdoors."
19:16 mashpriborintorg well, in Corsica island they eat a very special cheese... with worms in it... if you are not immunized, you can die eating it lol
19:16 Seroster I hate chinese food

19:17 masterofmonks I have spent a long time compiling a list of things that I won't eat, since that is simpler than compiling a list of things I will eat.

23:12 Sgt_Lemming masterofmonks, the AR-15?
23:12 masterofmonks Sgt_Lemming: Yes.
23:12 Sgt_Lemming the weapon is horribly dated
23:12 Toastdude Hi wannabe1987 speed_linux, Sgt_Lemming and masterofmonks
23:13 speed_linux Toastdude,  FTW
23:13 Sgt_Lemming there are so many better options, but the nato 5.56 round is a tried and tested round
23:13 Katemonster if this turns into an AR vs. AK / .223 vs. anything else discussion i am so gone.  i've been through enough of those this week
23:13 Sgt_Lemming lol
23:13 speed_linux i thought you said tried and toasted round
23:13 Katemonster not even kidding
23:13 Sgt_Lemming lol

23:16 Sgt_Lemming yeah
23:16 Sgt_Lemming fritzing is mildly broken in that respect
23:16 tonsofpcs BatSteve-Away: I see your ham and cheese and raise you chicken and ricce
23:16 Sgt_Lemming 2 things they need to add, least number of bends, longest straight runs

23:23 Toastdude Hi astro73|tgg
23:23 astro73|tgg ohai
23:25 speed_linux MoM hissed??
23:25 speed_linux is MoM a creaper??
23:26 Toastdude LOL
23:28 astro73|tgg I'm having fun trying to find an attack plan for the planetary AV switcher
23:28 masterofmonks Too much time associateing with cats.
23:29 Toastdude Meanwhile, I'm listening to Requiem for a Dream and playing Phun :P
23:29 tonsofpcs astro73|tgg: attack plan?
23:29 astro73|tgg I'm digging through a few tech manuals
23:30 tonsofpcs what are you trying to attack
23:30 tonsofpcs ?
23:30 astro73|tgg the jupiter / saturn switcher
23:30 tonsofpcs right, I got that... what part of  it?
23:30 astro73|tgg (the line also includes venus and mars)
23:31 tonsofpcs i'm well aware of this
23:31 * tonsofpcs has a K-line GVG switcher
23:32 astro73|tgg well, I found out the config port is almost RS-232, needs a custom cable
23:33 tonsofpcs almost?
23:34 astro73|tgg just needs a cable
23:34 tonsofpcs also, config != control
23:34 tonsofpcs control is 422 iirc
23:36 astro73|tgg control is MPK
23:36 astro73|tgg tggmc:
23:36 astro73|tgg tggmc: http://www.evertz.com/resources/7707DT-mpk.pdf
23:36 tonsofpcs we have full documentation on the control system....
23:37 astro73|tgg i know
23:37 astro73|tgg i'm looking at it
23:37 tonsofpcs :)
23:37 astro73|tgg but we don't have docs on the MPK protocol
23:38 tonsofpcs yea, that evertz doc seems to only matter if you have more than two things on the serial line...
23:38 astro73|tgg even the hardware-level signalling i've got guess and inferences, no hard detail
23:38 astro73|tgg it gives me more info on MPK than official docs ever did
23:38 tonsofpcs the pin wiring on AN6-5 is nice
23:38 angy_away left #thegeekgroup
23:39 astro73|tgg tonsofpcs: which book?
23:39 tonsofpcs the PDF you just linked
23:40 BotSteve In the last hour, there have been 1 new posts on the Geek Group forums.  New posts made by: Tysk on Evolution of the Geek Website
23:40 astro73|tgg mixing 485 and 422? yeah
23:41 tonsofpcs no
23:41 tonsofpcs the pinouts for 422 connection on AN6-5.  right side.
23:42 tonsofpcs you're not going in-line, you don't need to worry about bridging incorrect impedences to another control surface
23:43 astro73|tgg well, we're probably going to roll our own adaptor anyway, since I think the correct topology for our dated equipment is daisy-chain
23:44 astro73|tgg we don't have a controller like they do
23:44 tonsofpcs there should be a free port on the jupiter.
23:45 astro73|tgg we don't have a jupiter
23:45 mantere|2 left #thegeekgroup
23:45 astro73|tgg just a saturn surface and switcher
23:45 mantere joined #thegeekgroup
23:46 tonsofpcs there's no spare ports on the frame?
23:47 Seroster Arr
23:47 astro73|tgg i'm sure there's another MPK port on the frame; that's what daisy-chain means
23:49 Obtuse_lappy left #thegeekgroup
23:49 tonsofpcs I suppose you're stuck on AN6-7's wiring method (right side, again, use 7707 as if it's your PC) if there isn't a second port.... I thought the MPK port was separate from the switcher interface
23:51 tonsofpcs daisy chain in serial is usually done with single connectors wired in-line on a cable (see top of AN6-4).  There's generally not a loop-through connector unless it is explicitly labeled as such
23:51 astro73|tgg it's labelled looping
23:52 tonsofpcs interesting
23:52 astro73|tgg I think it's a little like token ring wiring?
23:52 tonsofpcs looks like MPK Tx is 422 compliant and MPK Rx is 485 compliant...
23:53 tonsofpcs so hook your PC Tx in-line w/ surface Tx to frame Rx as 485, PC Rx in-line w/ surface Rx to frame Tx as 422...
23:54 astro73|tgg i guess?
23:54 tonsofpcs but doesn't 485 require negotiation?  (I use 422 and 232 a lot, not much 485...)  You might need two ports... one for Tx, one for Rxx
23:55 tonsofpcs yea, 485 is two-wire...
23:55 astro73|tgg my concern is that, since we are essentially adding another control surface, we'll need a control system
23:55 astro73|tgg 485 isn't negotiated; i think the RS-* protocols just define electricals
23:55 tonsofpcs so you need a 485 port for Tx and a 422 Rx
23:56 tonsofpcs I don't mean negotiation in the TCP sense, but more of a signal-level negotiation for timing
23:56 speed_linux SparkyProjects, ?
23:56 SparkyProjects Yep ?
23:56 speed_linux hi
23:57 SparkyProjects Hi :)
23:57 speed_linux i did a lot with the thing.
23:57 speed_linux can i post it in a different part of the site?
23:57 wannabe1987 hi SparkyProjects, speed_linux
23:57 astro73|tgg tonsofpcs: no, they give us the usual baud/parity/stop bits
23:57 SparkyProjects cool, i'll take a look
23:57 speed_linux i didnt post it yet
23:57 tonsofpcs I suppose oyu could also just get two 422 ports and put your device actively in-line... seems like too much work
23:57 speed_linux were should i post it...if i still wanted to keep the original
23:58 speed_linux can i just post it on top? or....
23:58 astro73|tgg yeah, a pair of differential signalling ICs seems easier
23:58 tonsofpcs ugh... data bursting :(  I really don't want to deal with my network turning to 2*#@)^(@ right now
23:58 tonsofpcs ICs?  *hands astro73|tgg a few transistors*
23:58 * wannabe1987 minimizes IRC
23:58 speed_linux SparkyProjects, ?
23:58 SparkyProjects pm coming
23:58 astro73|tgg tonsofpcs: yeah, those things
23:59 tonsofpcs I suppose IOTs are overkill for this :-p
